So... anyone know a recipe that:
Doesn't contain raisins
If I see something I like, but I'm not to sure of all the ingrediants I just substitute it for something similar I like that will also go.
So if you don't like raisins, I guess you probably don't like sultanas either, but whay about dried apricots or dates, thats how I do it.
If something requires a nut I don't like, I put in nuts I do.
I doctor recipes all the time like this. So long as its a similar subistute & you stick to the same quantity its fine.
I'm thinking of doing an xmas pud & cake but with the limited range of dried fruit & nuts I like.
ETA I did a Tangine recipe last week & it was incredible (in a le cruset casserole pot).0 -
Hi i had half a dozen tomatoes that needed using up, so as i was whizing up the onion, garlic, ginger, spices, lemon juice etc. i added them in, the sauce looks ok, quite pale and smells a bit acidicy because of the tomatoes. do you think it will be ok? its all in the slow cooker now.Make £10 a day challenge March 2013 £101.24 / £240 :j

I just combined (Greek) yogurt, lemon juice, olive oil, onion, mint, coriander and smoked paprika to make a yogurt style dressing to go with a beef tagine.
It was nice.
Does anyone have any Moroccan yogurt dressing recipes?0 -
In case anyone is interested here is the recipe & it was fantastic
