I know a lot of stuff has been posted online about this company and whether it's a scam etc. But I have to say from my own experience they have been great.

I ordered an Apple iPad Air 2 and yes shipping would take 3 months. So I bit the bullet. Delivery was 14/09/15 and the item didn't arrive. I contacted then to ask for an ETA and promptly received a message back apologizing, but due to circumstances beyond there control they have had to cancel my order and would issue a refund. So I thought this is where the battle begins. But 3 days later I logged into my CC account and voila REFUNDED.

Am I missing something?

This company had your money for three months.
They failed to provide the product you ordered.
They didn't automatically notify you & refund your money when the order had been cancelled (you had to contact them).

And this is "great"? I'd be calling it "The least bad thing that could have happened in this situation".

They probably state 3 months for shipping as this enables them to keep hold of the customers money for a fair while before refunding it knowing that no one will kick up a fuss too soon.

It's probably a good way to get a totally interest free loan if you need money to finance other business interests.

On 22nd June I ordered an iPad. I knew it would take several months to arrive. The ETA was 31st August. On 1st September, after hearing nothing, I tried my tracking code and found no information. I emailed them and they replied that the code was working fine. I tried it again and found that it was now working but the ETA had been changed to 18th September. Today, 17th September, they emailed me to say that the order was cancelled and refunded. They have given me no reason for this and have not contacted me to apologise.

BEWARE! Do not trust this company!

Oembrands ripped me off too.
I ordered an iPhone 5s in early August to be told that delivery would take ten weeks.
By the end of September I got an email cancelling my order and saying my payment had been refunded.
No such refund has been received so I'm claiming under my credit card warranty.
With so many other dupes like me, I'm surprised that credit card companies still approve payments to oembrands.
Don't trust Trustpilot either. Despite all the negative reviews about oembrands, the retailer is still actively getting them removed.

The conclusion is that you can't.

Apple are incredibly controlling about their supply channel and their approved software. The advantage is you very rarely get infected apps, but the flip side is you can't buy a genuine, new device for a bargain price. There's always something wrong if it's cheap ie. not one of the above.

I walked into shop in April and ordered an iPad. Five minutes later I walked out with one! They did not have my money for three months!

Has anyone got an email address for oem brands please? My daughter ordered and paid for an i-phone 5 months ago and has never received it. Their website appears unavailable and google cannot find it.
