Does it matter what it says?
What's the worst case scenario? They have to put the old lock back on...or they could end up getting evicted ........... in around 4 months time
Haha. :rotfl: We'd probably put the old locks back on anyway when we leave... I think the worst case scenario is probably the best one too

Make sure you do, they belong to the LL.

Even if it was in the tenancy agreement then it's not enforceable as it would be an unfair term.0

There could be numerous contractors, directly employed by the developer or independant sub-contractors, who have had access to keys and could have kept one or made a copy. Plus estate agents, buyers who were lent a key if the property was ever used as a show home, cleaners etc
For peace of mind, spare a few minutes and stick a new lock on each external door.0
