Should I do this unpaid 3 day trial for a retail job

is this legal? i wont be paid for the 3 days (8 hour days) and there is no guarantee i will get the job... I understand a few hours trail but wow... its for a minimum wage job in a shop.

You've got two options:
* Do the trial - may get the job.
* Don't do the trial - definitely won't get the job.

Depends if OP has to sign on during the three day trial period. If he/she does, they will probably get sanctioned!0

I wouldn't with the premise that if there's enough work to offer me a 3 day trial then I should be paid for that work - it's unreasonable to expect 21-24 hours free labour! A single shift I'd possibly consider it, but 3 full days, that smacks of a store knowing they have something coming up & need extra staff for it!Retired member - fed up with the general tone of the place.0

I can understand a few hours or a day. but i can't believe how bad i would feel if i did all that work for days - for nothing, when i could have used the time job seeking. how is this legal..0
