If you're in Rotherham, have you tried Knowhow & Capita? Both big call centres, looking for staff.
Meadowhall is starting recruitment for Xmas, get a dozen CV's and go for a wander round there.
I know B&M are recruiting too.
    Royal mail are too.

    Good luck :-)

If you'd advertised as an independent cleaner, you could have built up a good business by now.

Could actually be a very good route to go.

I don't want to go into more details as to what I was doing in all those years.

When an employer asks you this during an interview that answer will lead to you not getting the job.

You don't have to answer on here but it could explain why you're not being offered a job.

Do you really think I'm stupid or something? Of course, I will tell the employer what I was doing during the years I was unemployed .

No need to be so rude.

You can't expect people to give you advice if you don't give them the full picture - the advice would be very different if you've been ill, been in prison or been a carer, for example.

Indeed, the answer to that question could completely change the advice given. It may limit the opportunities open to the OP, but also could have involved key skills making them more employable than they realise.

    Who knows ...

    Have you considered an apprenticeship?

If you were in prison that could easily be the reason you aren't getting work.
