  • I must say that when I went to the cemetery today to put some flowers on my mum’s grave i got the shock of my life, we have a 3 person grave and my mum was the last to go in there which was sep 2013.
The stone is at least a quarter of the size it used to be, the stone had enough space on there for 3 names but there’s only my gran’s on there my mum said when she passed away that put hers on there and my grandfathers on there. I was so upset to see the stone in this condition, that stone was full length and there was also a flower pot on it and now well I have a photo of it. I went into the cemetery office and they agreed that it did look odd. They said contact the stone mansion that put it back and ask them what’s happened. I had to ring carriages and they guy on the phone said that’s the size we took off. I said no its not the stone you took off was enough space for 3 people’s names to do on there, he said these small stones don’t get achochored i said is that so then the cemetery needs to give me a refund of over 600.00, he said what’s that I said they had to anchor it to stop it falling over and that’s what they charged me. He said oh well in that cast i need to get hold of the guy that’s doing it,

The other thing if it the ground that’s sinking what’s happening to the grave then they may have to move my family, i found out from another undertaker that when a stone is taken off you have to have a permit to do that and it has to be signed by the family member that’s wanting this, i have never signed anything and then when its put back i have to sign it again, it seems that the permit has on it the size, i was told it looks like they signed it in your name which is illegal to do so.
I am going to right the consumer rights up over this, it’s disgusting he knew the guy on the phone you could tell by his voice and just tried to hide it but i work in a contact centre and you can tell who’s lying when you talk to them, i think the stone has got broken and they have put it back thinking that no one would notice but they have, I have

If that’s the case they should pay for a new stone surely because half it is missing anyway it was so upsetting today on my mum’s birthday as well.
  • I think that leaving your body to medical science is a very worthy and good idea.
