Virgin media started new contract after I cancelled

Options
In June My virgin media package almost doubled in price as all my offers ended, so I rang customer service to cancel, after many attempts of the rep trying to persuade me with a new contract I thought he admitted defeat and therefore read me the terms of the cancelation and told me there will be a 30 day notice period then my contract will be terminated. But before he hung up the phone he asked me if it would be ok for him to search for the best possible Virgin media package and ring me back the day after, I said yes there's no harm in him ringing me back. The phone call never came. And 3 days later my sky sports package switchd off. But then in July I received a new bill with a new 12 month contract which I never agreed to. I rang Virgin media and they've said they have nothing on there system stating I cancelled my last contract. Can they do this??

So you ask them to prove you agreed to a 12 month contract via the complaints dept. After the complaints proceedure has been exhausted then you can go higher, however get on with it now, before your credit record and other loser issues occur.
