4 bricks, very impressive!
Manipulating your mortgage term sounds like a good plan as well.MFW: Was: £136,000.......Now: £47,736.58......0 -
Thanks - was really pleased by a 4-brick month.
Interest in from all the bank accounts and offset stands at £1,482.70 so far, putting the mortgage at £133,127.98.
Plan to aim for sub-133k this month and then funnel any extra into holiday funds to prep for our Hawaii trip next spring. Will probably be buying tickets for that soon-ish, so best find the funds.0 -
N-p0wer were the ones I had all the trouble with and they could be cheapest by half, but I will never go back with them. PRINCIPLE!!!DFW (08/08) £64,346.53 Gone (02/19)

N-Power billed me for £650 when we'd never been with them. I even showed a trail of who we had been with (new house and only every 2 suppliers), yet they sent me a further 3 red reminders. Farce of a company!MFW: Was: £136,000.......Now: £47,736.58......0

Sorry to hear you've also had problems, DFOD and SJ! My coworker also had issues with them when she moved into a flat where they were the supplier - made her open an account and then give 30 days' notice to switch to a different supplier.
I hope we don't have to get an ombudsman involved but I do expect some sort of compensation for blatantly ignoring our rights to have an account (or not!).0 -
Just popping in to say have a lovely weekend0

Not much to report since my last post. Have barely been to work thanks to health issues, which may cause problems with work.
They're not being very clear on if/how they will accommodate my issues until I see the neurologist (and likely after, can't see this being diagnosed in one visit). Worst case scenario I can go on statutory sick pay, but that seems a shame when my chief issue is with physically getting to the office (not something I technically need to do to perform my job duties).
Still haven't committed our offset OP to the mortgage yet as it's all being used for MB. Should be up ~£200 though.
Had a very spendy weekend doing a yarn crawl in London (treated myself to some yarn that I'd never let myself buy before), plus I found more yarn for sale today online.Done now, I promise, with £37.36 left in my allowance for September. Can't think of anything else I'll want so that should do me. I'm still debating signing up for a couple of courses next month (dyeing yarn and spinning fibre). Cost is manageable (£290 for both over 3 days), but going based off this weekend and last I'm not sure I'd be physically up for it.
Will see how I feel after we get back from Ireland....
...heading there on Thursday!Super excited, though also petrified of driving. DH will navigate, and we've got excess insurance, but it's been years since I drove regularly and my vision's changed quite a bit since then (arguably for the better, but it is much different). Other than car and places to stay we have nothing planned yet, will probably just end up driving around to various villages and see what takes our fancy. Might also pop into a stud farm as well, while we're in the neighbourhood.
Our IFA lives in Sligo so we had a nice chat with him earlier in the week getting details on day-to-day life which was very helpful. Hoping to be able to get more helpful advice from him once we're closer to moving.
Off to bed soon, hoping to feel less like I've been run over by a lorry tomorrow. Wandering around yesterday looking at pretty yarn was fun, and for a bit I thought I'd gotten away with it but about 30 minutes after I got home it hit me and I've felt awful since.0 -
Haven't seen you around for a little while Hidden - hope you are ok
