Tuesday 15th September - what small DFW things will you do today?

As the thread title suggests this thread is for tracking the small but important actions we take every day to keep on top of the pennies and reduce the debt.
When we start our debt free journey we focus on the big things. Cutting up the credit cards. Cancelling expensive memberships. But along the way it is just as important to focus on small things that are done each day but build up to help us on the way. Examples -taking cash to the supermarket, making a shopping list, buying YS food, walking instead of driving short journies.
Good luck with your small things today

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free!

Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending!

So be proud of those small steps, they really important!:money:

Savvy Shopper! I've been Money Tipped!
    Morning All

Thanks to Ziggy and Lego Mum for having the same great minds approach this morning :)

It's another horrible grey day here. I'm just hoping we don't get the terrible rain fall again as that completely killed trade yesterday. I banked £50.

DH and I having serious chats about the future of the business. I have to keep going until the rent break comes in November for 2 months but things just aren't stacking up. I am finding it so hard to seperate the feeling of failure, from the amount of work I'm putting in.
Anyway that's not very cheery. But it's where I'm at.

Have a good one all who follow.

  • Morning (Afternoon) Everyone!

It's been a massive success just getting out of bed at 10.30am! I even ate a really healthy and mostly for free. Avocado, Potatoes, Mushrooms and a Leek. Found most of the on the 'free' shelf here in the hostel, along side some other goodies today as they cleaned out the shelves. =D

I still have so much to do. :x

    - Cl!xsense
    - G!ftHulk Guess the Card. Got RadioLoyalty ticking away in the background
    - Buxvert!se
    - Sort what I want to bring home with me. :( This is gonna be hard. Not sure if I should try and post some stuff back home??
    - Advertise books that I've got to sell
    - Finish reading current book
    - Re-organise my bookmarks to try and group together all the daily check websites!
    - Check FLP & LuckyPhone

Bob, I hope things pick up for you. :( Sounds pretty tough at the moment. If there's anything we can do to help, speak up!

Lego, Hope you enjoy your day, and your coffee. =D

DNM, who are you complaining to!? I need to write more complaint letters. I keep so quiet about things.

One is an ongoing saga with First Utility & the other is to Sentinal re the ins policy which is refunding people from 2005 sadly I had the policy 2002-4 so fall outside of the scheme. I've been posting it daily for ages now so have abbreviated so regular posters know what it means! :o:rotfl:

Good luck getting those written up.
