You might be lucky in finding liquidated stock but any business person in their right mind will not sell for less then they can sell it for will they!! If they can't sell it as separates then they'll bundle it up and sell it as a job lot. Been there done that in the early days!!
Could not agree more - Once every other month or so, I a sell off a job lot of slow moving stock, and generally earn more for it than I would have hoped for selling them individually.
Greedy people see the word wholesale and think $$$$, without thinking through the true costs.
I bought a pallet of designer label trousers at Christmas, RRP was £80-£90 a peice, and I paid £8 a piece. I sold aout 200 or so at anything up to £50 each, but there were a few hideous designs and odd sizes that would not shift.
I created a jazzy listing with loads of pictures and examples of resale value, and sold the last 9 pairs for for £160, when they had been sat in my shop individually at £4.99 + P&P! Got glowing feedback for it as well!<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0 -

We sell wholesale and retail on ebay. Sometimes it is clearing lines out, other lines we have we wholesale as they are great for car booters, markets etc, where we have taken several pallets of a line, then it makes sense to sell some retail ourselves and let some people have carton at a time to sell ...if they sell them on ebay fine, but more likely they will make a good profit on the markets ..sometimes getting the space & cash back is more important. We have other lines we know are good sellers, but are out of season, so we clear the space, if someone holds them until the right season, they make the money.0

i get stuff off mates who just wanna be shot of it, at bootsales, local auctions and from wholesale suppliers (try your local yellow pages for discount warehouses in your area), I am not a power seller or anything though so you'd probably need something more concrete if you are gonna ebay in a big way.0
