Nobody is going to tell you that. if there is any margin then folk will be doing it themselves.
The usual tip is to stick to what you know or are willing to study.
Research, research and more research is the name of the game.
I started with watches bought on EBay Singapore and sold on EBay UK, I bought stuff from the USA (could be interesting with exchage rates the way they are).
Frequently from Europe.
I will have a go a new items, some sell and make a profit others I struggle to get out off without making a loss. If you know a market you can make a reasonable decision on whether you will make a turn or not, but you have to be wary of the market price dropping.
If you want my suppliers I will give them to you but they will cost you a large five figure sum.0 -

What exactly are you after to sell and yes I may give you some suppliers.
Seems others are frightened of a little competition.Debt Free Wannabee - Updated 13/08/2007

I am for sure. If have a market to myself (on a particular platform) and another identical seller comes along and all things being equal then I will lose 50% of my sales! Why would I want to do that?
Even worse you get into a price cutting war then not only are your sales cut but also your margin.0 -

I'll sell you two pallets of very cheap stock that I brought to sell on ebay, but then I got booted off.The money, Dave...0 -
Pay anything up to £9.99 for a contact list on ebay, and you will get something like this - http://www.eempire.co.uk/
Somebody has done half the work by finding out who sells what and then listing all their contact details for you to do the legwork in sourcing the actual stock.
Tip of the trade - stick to what you know! If you nothing about iPods, then don't try to sell them in a market full of experts - you'll never win!<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0 -

Get the Trader magazine from WH Smiths, this has lots of info and suppliers. I wouldn't buy any info from ebay as it's usually stuff you can find out for yourself. A good wholesalers is JTF but I don't know how many there are in the UK, you would have to google it.0

I've always found sourcing stock quite difficult, it's a case of finding a niche market really to make a decent living, most of the people selling mp3 players, mobiles and stuff like that are making very little on each sale.
I've been looking through www.eempire.co.uk and there seems to be some good ex-catalogue sources, i've bought from companies like this before and there's some very good bargains to be had.
I've purchased so called wholesale lists from ebay before and most seem to be outdated but that site seems relatively new.
Thanks for the link Stevew89750 -
My only dalliance with stock was when I found a store with a closing down sale and bought up a load of biros and a few printer cartridges. It wasn't amazingly exciting TBH; I managed to sell it all for a profit, but not a great one.
Having said that, if you have some funding, finding store clearances could be a viable route.Happy chappy0
