So glad I found this thread (and many others!)
£42.50 going out of my bank every month! Very hard to stop! Stopped it twice with bank and yet they'll only refund once (4 months worth have now gone out!) - and the day after the second 'stop ' via the bank - same amount went out again the next day! The billing address is wp-scoach eticket?! Had purchased a bus pass months before but not sure if linked. Trying to get to the bottom of it - bank seem powerless to stop!0 -
I have had £96.60 taken from my account with WP-SCOACH ETICKET reference along with other transactions totaling £253.
With all these posts not sure how they are still managing to rip people off?!
Noticed the above thread I have also last week purchased a yearly student pass for my daughter from First Bus Group.

I had a different experience: I found 3 transactions on my credit card statement, each for £4.00, for WP-SCOACH ETICKET. I didn't recognise these, so I Googled that text and found this forum. Convinced that I'd received 'tester' transactions, I phoned the bank and was put through to the fraud department.
Following up the various questions they asked, I discovered that they were genuine transactions, but with this hopeless, misleading description. In fact, they were payments for WIFI purchased on-line on East Midlands Trains journeys. It turns out that East Midlands Trains is owned by Stagecoach, and the payments were made through Worldpay: so WP for Worldpay, SCoach for Stagecoach and eticket for the on-line purchase.
If they had put WIFI in the description, I would never have questioned the transactions - a lot of time wasted and worry about my card details being stolen.
I wish these companies would get a grip and give a clear description - there is plenty of room in the description field for meaningful text.0 -
Can I say more fool you for paying for Wi-Fi !0

The last bunch of posters dragging up old threads that are actually about legitimate payments?
Tester payments are usually less than £1 and your bank should stop them before huge amounts are taken.
Be vigilant yes but not ignorant.0
