Canaries in November - help please!

Hi guys

Wife and I are looking for a week's holiday in early November - looks like the Canaries might be a good bet? Would it be warm enough to do a little sunbathing? Ideally we would like either Full Board or All Inclusive, we are a couple in mid 40's with no kids to take.

Any suggestions or advice would be very much appreciated.

Thank you.

Probably low twenties, so nice but certainly not hot.

For somewhere fairly cheap with not too long flights then Egypt would be warmer, though politically more risky.

We stayed at the H10 Lanzarote Princess in Playa Blanca, Lanzarote the first week of November last year, and we only had one day under 20 degrees with showers. We both got a decent tan and had some lovely long walks along the coastline.

I really enjoyed this hotel for it's central location, great food and fantastic service.

Just wanted to add, the week were there the only kids were pre-school age with their parents or grandparents. We went half board because I don't tend to eat lunch, and there's a small shopping complex across the road, leading down to the beach, with lots of bars and dining options for lunch.

Depending on what island daytime temps SHOULD be mid 20's high teens/low 20's after dark. Sunbathing between 10 AM to around 4 PM poss odd showers but nothing too much to worry about. If it is a relaxing type of break you are after but with a bit of life in the evening {but not rowdy like summer} take a look at Los Christanos in the south of Tenerife, if you want more traditional Puerto de la Cruz in the north west of the island. Fuerteventura is breezy and IMO unless you are into wind surfing I would give it a miss. Overall whatever island you choose you SHOULD return home with a nice tan.

LOL...but incorrect they were named {depending on who to believe} by the Romans due to the packs of wild dogs on the islands {Caninius} or the latest theory is they were named after an African tribe that settled some of them :0)

Be prepared for all weather... I went last November and it rained for 5 out of the 7 days I was there, although locals said this was unusual. We did get 2 really nice days where it was around 25-28 degrees. Would recommend light layers during the evenings as it can get a little cool.

  • We have been to playa blanca lanzarote 3 times, twice at new year and once this summer. Its a lovely resort. The weather at new year was great the first time but not as good the second time, although we still got lovely tans and it didn't rain. We stayed at marconfort Atlantic garden bungalows, its adults only and all inclusive. We had a brilliant ,chilled out, relaxing holiday. Can defo recommend this place
