EE - data top up or new SIM?
Hiya,
I'm currently paying £8 a month from EE for 100 minutes, 750MB of data and unlimited texts (3G).
I don't need a lot more on the minutes but the data use is too low meaning that my bills for the last month or so have been about £30.
I'm getting a work mobile in November so expect data use to reduce (although still likely to be higher than 750MB).
I'm probably needing to look closer to 2GB (usage last month was 1.3GB and slightly higher the month before).
Is it going to be cheaper to look for a new SIM or is there a way of getting EE to upgrade my data usage?
Any thoughts?

EE charge £17 for 2Gb.
You can get it for £12 at Virgin Mobile (same EE signal, but 3g only).

Only if you go direct. Use Chitter Chatter or similar to get it for £14.
As to the OP's question...if they are outside or coming to the end of their contract period, they can upgrade to the SIM only contract above. With a little pressure they could get it for £13.99 from EE direct via Retentions.0 -
Speak to EE and see if they can change your price plan - they may have a plan around the same price as you're paying now but with 2 or 3gb of data. If you're just changing your plan then you won't need a new sim.0
