    Just a quick one the laptop is Ram 4 GB single channel DDR3 @ 665MHz (9-9-9-24)
    would upgrading the ram have any benefits such as speed
    if what do you all recommend?

    Yes, however changing the HDD for a SSD will give you the biggest speed boost of all. You can then put the old HDD into an external drive case and use it as a back storage unit.

    Decent 250GB SSD's cost around the £60-70 mark.

    But my HD is 500 GB so how does a 250GB SSd make it faster and better?

    I have now installed this driver and also installed some of Asus software like "Gear 4 power" which now works


    I have no idea what the ASUS ATK/ACPI driver is or does except some software now works with it installed which previously I hadn't bothered because I thought it was of no use after reading this
