Call the airline or travel agent and arrange it, then pay what it costs..0

if you can't manage the upgrade, maybe you could book into an 'airport lounge' to wait in after check in. never been myself, but friends did it for the start of their honeymoon - about £10/£15 each (i think), which includes drinks (soft/alcoholic/tea/coffee) and food snacks, oh and newspapers too. might set the 'upgrade' tone without the price?!:happyhear0

If the pre-booked upgrade doesn't work out, you could always try the following article for How to get a flight upgrade

You don't say which airline you are using. If you are flying BA from Gatwick, you can upgrade to Club class for just fifty pounds each. You do this on-line, in the same place as you do on-line check in.
A lounge pass is more likely to cost 20 pounds upwards. Remember that if you have an Egg card you can get it at a discount.0 -
holiday extras had them from £12.50 on their website (checked that before posting the price) - but i guess that won't be for london airports!Voyager2002 wrote: »A lounge pass is more likely to cost 20 pounds upwards. Remember that if you have an Egg card you can get it at a discount.:happyhear0 -
Is it not very difficult to get upgraded (free) if you have littleys with you?0

Aren't they quite restrictive about 'little ones' in their lounges?0 -
Slim to no chance with the bread snappers in tow, those execs dont want to be disturbed by children, If they did they would have bought stowage tickets
Thats what I thought, can you imagine shelling thousands for a ticket just to have a free upgraded rugrat kicking the back of your seat and babbling the whole way
(and before anyone protests, me and my rugrats travel long haul at least once a year so I am not against littleys flying
) 0 -
I don't think that many business travellers fly to Sharm.
Anyway, if an upgrade is important to you then pay for it: if not, then don't worry about it.0
