I wouldn't have thought it would make any difference to them - it comes out of somebody else's budget.
I'm not sure - I didn't hear it first hand exactly, but from someone who works for the same 'bit' of the NHS. He said it before he has realised what he was saying, and then tried to backtrack. I wouldn't normally take any notice of second hand information, but this has got me a bit freaked out.

The thing is, I KNOW he has Aspergers Syndrome - that probably sounds really silly (and maybe arrogant, as if I know better than the specialists), but I know him better than anyone, and I can see he fits the Aspergers description perfectly. But because he is so bright, he is already developing coping strategies and managing to hide some of his difficulties (which will be a good thing in the long term I think, but just not now), and I think they might not realise how many issues he has.

Then they run the risk of being crucified with legal action by someone in the future. You'd think they'd learn by now.

They're experts in Aspergers and you're an expert in Ryan. I'd bet they'd diss your expertise more that you'd diss theirs...

That's what you're there for. To explain and point-out.

Well, once my hormones have dispersed a bit :o I will start collecting evidence again in case they do try to fob us off. We will know in a few weeks, so I just need to try not to worry too much until then. Not easy though because I feel like we are just in limbo, and our lives are, in some ways, in their hands. No, hang on, that sounds a bit dramatic! But you know what I mean... :o:o

A little bit better I think - things are still a bit strained, and I am blaming Stu irrationally for things that aren't his fault (or at least, aren't directly his fault), but we are getting there, I think. How's life chez Bunny? How was your DD's birthday?

  • DD B-day was lovely although *blush* I forgot to get a cake for her party...the shame. I blame being stupid busy for a momentary breakdown of brain.

We had her school Nativity Play today-in a Church! With Carols! And pictures being taken etc. It was lovely. I cried. We ladies are a right bunch of softies huh? It was all very NON-PC. (although Mary was of an afro-carribean descent) DD was a 'Star'-literally- wore a little 'Star' outfit, bless

Awwwww! I would have cried too.

Can't believe you were allowed to take photos, how lovely. We're not allowed to at Ryan's school. In fact, at his school play, the Men In Black arrive afterwards and zap our brains with one of those mind-erasers, just to make sure we don't dare retain any memory of it.
