Bunny - I am still working on our little 'let's move to Shropshire' plan! :)

Not making any progress yet though - are you still thinking of moving back to Canada at some point? Maybe we could just move there! :rotfl:

Right, time for a little update I think! :D

My account is solvent again thanks to a car tax refund from the kind people at the DVLA - £57.50...wooo!

The shopping account is overdrawn by £46 (overdraft limit £250 though so we're okay) - need to sort that out but hubby still getting plenty of overtime until Xmas eve, so we will hopefully be able to pay that off straight away.

Bills account is looking healthy for once - we have managed to get a month ahead in there, so that Stu can start paying his money in weekly and we wont have to worry about spreading direct debits out more evenly across the month.

Stu's account is also healthy, but bearing in mind he probably wont be working between Xmas and New Year, he needs to keep a decent amount in there to cover his weekly transfers to the bills account.

I've complained to Toys R Us about the lack of accessory pack for the buggy we bought (still hadn't got it after 6 weeks of waiting, when we were told a couple of days), and they gave us a £10 voucher by way of apology. Also complained to Organix about a lump of hard black stuff in a baby rice cake (it was really gross ) and they sent us £15 of vouchers, and then complained to Tescos about a problem we'd had with using vouchers in their store (they didn't come off our bill) and they are sending us a £5 voucher too - every little helps! ;)

Oh, and Auntie Flo has returned from her extended holiday. I am sooo pleased to see her again.....not....

Isn't it funny the different euphemisms we use for periods. My Mum would say ' Have your country cousins come to stay ?' :rotfl:

Not strictly money saving, but I'm going to post the things I still need to do before Xmas, so I can cross them off one by one. Well, it will save me money in a way, because if I don't get everything done, I will have to pay for us all to go out for Xmas lunch...lol! Here goes.....

    Things to do asap

    Measure tables for table cloths
    Get spare chairs from loft
[strike]Put Xmas cards up (still in pile on table)[/strike] :o
Deliver local cards (have already posted ones that can't be hand delivered)
    [strike]Buy wrapping paper[/strike]
    [strike]Buy labels[/strike]
Wrap presents - half done, doing Ryan's tonight, Natasha's tomorrow night

    Cleaning to do

    [strike]Our bedroom[/strike]
    [strike]Ryan's bedroom[/strike]
    Bathroom
Hall/stairs/landing (need to get Stu to get the cobwebs I can't reach :o)
    Living room
    Dining area
    Kitchen

    Clean oven
    Wash sofa cushions
    [strike]
Wash carpet if SIL lends me her carpet washer (she's been saying she will for about 2 months now)

    [/strike]
    Last minute things
    Defrost turkey

[strike]Buy fresh foods for Xmas (fruit, veg, etc)[/strike]
Iron clothes needed for Xmas day

Might be adding more things to this list as I think of them. I'm sure I've missed loads!

Are you having fresh or frozen Turkey?

If Frozen you will need to defrost it!! (I forgot when I was at uni and spent ages trying to defrost it in time!)
    Current debt - £16,300 :(
    Debt at worst 17/03/2011 - £18,067.62:eek::eek:
:ANot going anywhere else, ever again :A
