I managed to drag the pram up the steps and was just negotiating the huge heavy door (took me about 20 seconds to get through it) when a little old man had a go at me because I 'should be at work or sitting at home watching daytime tv, not clogging up the bank with my pram'!

So I was a little annoyed and snapped back at him a bit too loudly, which pretty much the whole queue of people heard and of course turned round to see a young(ish) woman appearing to be rude to an old (ish) man.....and promptly started tutting and glaring at me......sigh......should learn to bite my tongue. :o

It could have been worse...you could have given the same response as the Terminator did when asked if he had a dead cat in there or something...

  • Oh Snaggles!
I know exactly how you feel-I had a grumpy old man follow me around Tesco one night hargauging (?) me for teaching the kids to be silly and 'run' in a store. (I was power shopping and had 3 kids with me and had forgot something) I could have just smacked his jowly old face. Humph.

Hope Natasha is doing better, have you tried rubbing her gums until they squeak? It works...
Or put a clean wet flannel in the freezer for a bit and get her to chew/suck on it? My kids all suffered with teething. My friend also told me about using red pepper? (sweet red pepper!) give her some to gnaw on-there's something in it which numbs the pain?

    Anyhoo, good luck today.

Going to see ANOTHER man about a dog today, lol

    Thanks Annie!

Awww Bunny, I don't know what happens to people as they get older - a lot of old people seem to think it's okay to be rude to stressed out Mums. Okay, fair enough, maybe their kids wouldn't have created havoc in the bank, or the supermarket, but the world is different now, people have less time, more stress and we're all just doing the best we can.

I'm really going to try and remember that if I ever make it to old age! :D
