No, I havent sent off for the refund, because I'm so worried I'm not paying the right amount now.

Tax codes are 0-0B on one and 1/522L on the other.

The second one is the one where I pay it one month, and they refund it the next. I do pay tax on the first one.

    :o

Hmmm ~ strange, I'm not understanding how its refunded on the second job when your code is week/month 1 ~ thats actually impossible :confused:

Never even seen 0B before so will have to look into that tomorrow :confused:

Have both these codes been the same since April? Do you earn more at one job that the other?

EDIT: I have looked at HMRC website and there is no such tax code as 0B :confused:

0-522L has been the same since April, before that it was 1-503L. NI code is D.

0-0B has been the same since I started there. NI code is A.

Based on basic pay, I earn slightly more on 0-522L.

Sorry for the hijack Snaggles :o

Edit - I've just worked out, I'm paying around 22% tax on the 0-0B job, so I assume the B might stand for Basic Rate

    You've got a deal :T

We're never happy are we - I'd like either straight or curly hair too - not in between wavy as I unfortunately have

    Hijack away!! :D

I would kill to be 5 foot 10! I could put my 4 inch heels at the back of the wardrobe and never have to suffer the backache and sore toes again.

And I would LOVE not to have wavy hair - I have to straighten it every day, it's such a pain.

How vain do I sound....oooh, my hair, my shoes......lol!

  • Hey Snaggles, I am 5ft 5 so I know what you mean about heels!!! I am the shortest member of my family and they all take the mick out of me.

5 foot 5 isn't too bad, I think that would be quite a nice height to be - although it's a pain being the smallest - I'm the shortest in my family too. In fact Ryan is fast catching up to me, he's already up to my collarbone.

Oh my god, what a day!

Had to take Natasha to the doctors again (got a last minute appointment so had to run up a big hill with the pram as I only had 20 minutes to get there and Stu still had the car seat so I couldn't take her by car) because she was howling in pain and has been on and off for the last few days - there doesn't seem to be anything wrong, so it must just be her teeth, poor little thing.

Then I had a fight with a cash machine - I thought it was stuck so I pressed the same button a 'few' times, and it spat £100 at me! I wasn't anywhere near a proper bank so I had to run across town to find an HSBC....which was absolutely heaving with people.

I managed to drag the pram up the steps and was just negotiating the huge heavy door (took me about 20 seconds to get through it) when a little old man had a go at me because I 'should be at work or sitting at home watching daytime tv, not clogging up the bank with my pram'!

So I was a little annoyed and snapped back at him a bit too loudly, which pretty much the whole queue of people heard and of course turned round to see a young(ish) woman appearing to be rude to an old (ish) man.....and promptly started tutting and glaring at me......sigh......should learn to bite my tongue. :o

Anyway, after 10 minutes of standing in the queue without anyone actually getting served, I gave up and came home.....via the chip shop! :o:o:o

Not sure whether to try again tomorrow or just keep hold of the cash and use it for shopping for the next two weeks.
