Oh don't worry, I'm not easily offended!

Although I did get the same one from you 3 times earlier - thought you'd been on the bear powered vodka again! :rotfl:

Hey Mrs S, I was gonna post this first but thought of Sar and a boobytittywank, weighlaid me somewaht anyway, sorry your feeling down but am happy that you are feeling better again. It is true, Mrs S, it's not always easy to imagine places you've never been but dream of going, owning things you've never had but dream of having, and being the type of person you've not yet been but have always aspired to be... but wouldn't it be easy to imagine the after-party? With best friends and family in the swankiest club you know while your favourite music plays. Proposing toasts, receiving toasts, crying happy tears. Getting hugs, hearing congratulations, leading the conga-line. And otherwise carrying on as you do when you're feeling light as a feather and all the world makes sense.
And that should pretty much do it.

I would seriously be better off not working. Or just doing a couple of nights a week in a pub.
I'm teaching the kiddies something on data and statistical sampling and timescales at the moment. It's quite interesting basically you need to look at appropriate timescales and put each data point / incident in suitable context. IA got a bit of a hammering from they don't volunteer mob you're better off on tax credits because considering the snapshot now it's probably true. However in the long term working now means you'll be still in the career loop in the future and whilst it may be the case now do you really want to be a 55 year old barmaid or in the pub at night when your little girl is 15? 20 years is a long time sitting watching Jeremy Kyle and QVC. Same as the Ryan blip - one bad incident but one where they are getting further apart is a positive in the big picture. I know this doesn't make it easy to cope on little money now and it's a terrible system that encourages people to make some short term decisions.

The other side of that is how stacked against working was the benefits system 15 years ago? 30 years ago? Do you think it is going to reverse course?
