Thanks for the hugs and support, they were very much needed and appreciated. Ryan's school have been really good, they are going to keep a close eye on him today and the learning mentor, who already has a session with him per week learning social skills, is going to incorporate some anger management skills too, to re-enforce what we are doing at home. They've also asked Surestart to contact us to see if they can offer any help at all.

I even made it to the last 15 minutes of bad mothers club, which was nice because everyone stayed on for an hour or so afterwards for a chat (and a brownie :)), so I've just got back, given Tasha a late lunch (she's been nibbling all sorts all morning anyway), and now I'm off to pick Stu up because he's finishing work at 3pm.

No rest for the wicked, but I'm soooo glad it's the weekend!

Gemmzie, he's not on any medication at the moment - CAMHS unfortunately assessed him while he was going through a 'good' patch, so I think they probably thought we were coping fine and didn't really need any extra help.

I will either give them a ring, or go back to the GP to see what they suggest. I've got to go back to the GP with him anyway, because he needs another referral to the enuresis clinic now that he's got a diagnosis.

    Such fun!

Still wouldn't change him though, he's my little angel. :A

Had a bad night with Ryan last night - I wont go into it, but I haven't seen him so angry and aggressive for a long time. I hope he's calmer today.

So this used to happen more often.... so the time between episodes is decreasing... and it sounds like you intervened and handled it so nothing did happen at school and the issue is noted and he got some extra help.... It all sounds like the bad night actually turned into an achievement, step foward type day....

Spud, I've saved you a bit of brownie, so next time you're in the area......:D

BB, thanks for the positive spin you put on it - I hadn't been looking at it like that, and you're right, although it was a very bad breakdown, it is quite a long time since his last one, so yes, some progress has been made I hope.

We are going to have a bad mothers club reunion at a soft play area (with all our 'challenging kids in tow  :D) a week on Wednesday. I'm so glad we are all going to keep in touch. The girls there (and of course, the people on this site) are my lifeline at the moment.

We are also planning a night out soon! :T But for tonight I will make do with a very nice bottle of red wine that I won a few months ago. :o
