send her down here for the day once a week we'll be ok lol
Yes, I'm in South Leeds, so not far away.

The nursery is expensive because although I will only be working one 'day' per week, and only for 5 hours, I have to pay for 2 sessions, rather than just a morning or an afternoon.

Maybe we should have a DFW creche. In fact, we could just set up a network of webcams and do virtual babysitting!

Thanks, I will have a look at that.

Stu's first day went well, he was just doing a bit of training today. Tomorrow he will go out and watch one of the other drivers do their job, in fact he will just be observing/learning to use the scanner etc for the rest of the week. The following week, he will be doing the job, but with a trainer sat alongside him, and the week after, he will start working on his own. It will be good for him to have some 'proper' training, as he was just thrown in at the deep end in his last job.

Sounds as though they must be a good firm to work for if they take training seriously and also it will be less stressful for Stu if he is being 'eased in' gradually. Great stuff! X El

    Thanks jacs.

Ouch, I'm having a very painful morning - I was straightening my hair, and the straighteners slipped out of my hand, so I caught them, but managed to get hold of the wrong end. I didn't even realise for a few seconds, until the pain kicked it. WOW my little finger hurts (they were on the 230 degree setting of course - you only ever get hold of the wrong end when they're red hot don't you?). I ran it under the cold tap for ages, but it has blistered really badly, and it is all swollen and throbbing. Getting Natasha ready was a nightmare.

Ryan was a little angel bless him, although he did have a little bit of a 'moment' just before we left (my fault - I was getting a bit stressed and he picked up on it), and came out with a beautiful string of swear words that I'm not even sure I could have put together. When he had finished I grinned at him and said 'feel better now?', and he said 'yes', and off we went to school, with me trying to hide my chuckles behind his school bag.

    Don't you just love kids! :D :A
