relates to plastic bags with handles only...

    https://www.gov.uk/guidance/carrier-bag-charges-retailers-responsibilities

    Bags you charge for

A bag is considered as such if it has an opening and isn’t sealed. You must charge at least 5p a bag for carrier bags that are all of the following:
    • unused - it’s new and hasn’t been used previously for sold goods to be taken away or delivered
    • plastic
    • with handles
    • 70 microns thick or less

Nooooooooooooo savvy will be going in with a micrometer. :p

Spot on again. I would add ignorance and embarrassment at the disability as well, as not knowing what to say.

:T:T my friends daughter was born with a very obvious disability but knowing the daughter, it doesn't stop her. At. All :T:T

And I find it's the adults who stare, point and make snidey comments  the kids are like "yeah whatever". The number of times I've wanted to land someone in the face for their rudeness....

Morning Are You still enjoying the new job?

I'm settling in quite nicely, thank you :) but I could do without useless temps who don't listen to simple instruction :rotfl:

I guess the other question I have that's centered around the bags debate is....
once I have spent 5p or whatever on a bag will it still take me forever to open it because its stuck together or will the assistant kindly do that for me rather than watch me struggle as I do at present?..or comment along the lines that "the're difficult to open arn't they, you see theres a knack to it"

In taking my own bag...at least I am confident I can open it!
frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!

    2017 toiletries challenge 179 out 145 in ...£18.64 spend

This brand stuff has got me thinking. Pre-MSE I was a proper brand snob and wouldn't even go in the car park of places like Aldi or lidl let alone go in one

Now, I prefer lidl over Aldi (you get a better class of dosser in lidl :p :rotfl: )

Brand wise, I still prefer the bigger brands but at an MSE price  the one I won't change is diet coke. Anything else is just inferior.

I still won't do my weekly shop in either of the budget supermarkets but I do get quite a bit of stuff from them now :)
