  • Hubby has just had a phone call. Hospital ringing to say his knee op, for which he's been waiting for 2+yrs & was scheduled for Oct/Nov will not now take place until March/April time! OMG! They asked if he'd be willing to travel out of Wales for an earlier one possibly December. He said YES obviously - I'm a bit worried about this as we know his surgeon here is supposed to be very good BUT who am I to say what to do? They said they will ring him back in 2-3wks with further news.

That totally puts the kybosh (is that a word?) on any plans for going away. NO idea on when they will inject his back under MRI - think they've forgotten all about that. I'm just sick of it all as obviously is he.

Fernie how awful, nothing you can say or do at a time like this, it's just time that heals.

LS - big surprise on brought forward op, but at least it means that hopefully you'll be fully sorted quicker, once you're over the shock.

Found out that my dd2 knows the young lad too, she is 23, just can't image what his poor family are going through.

On Friday dd2 got big op on her knee, and I know I going to be stressing while at work, then on Friday November the 6th same dd got a op on her heart, I've booked this day off as she has got to go into queen Elizabeth hospital Birmingham for this.
Also I know with it being her heart I will be mega stressing, and with havering to deal with money at work and driving round Birmingham I know I won't be at my best so booked the day off.
I hope the op on your dd2s knee goes well on Friday. I don't blame you taking the day off for her heart op, there is no way you could work. I am sending my very best wishes for her x

AMEX card holders > watch out for an email inviting you to install the new "Rewards by Harvey Nichols" app and get an instant upgrade from Silver to Gold status which gives you free coffees/smoothies in their bistros and bars. There are other benefits like free sewing alterations and gift wrapping but I'm not sure I'll use this :-)

I have an Amex card..... but I have NEVER been into a Harvey Nic's store! :o:o:o:o:o:o

  • Why am I now looking back at tins of sweets vs M??? I don't need them, I don't want any in the house as I'd only eat them.

I'm getting off here quickly before you lot make me go do a shop I don't need. Hubby drinks pop but I don't (except for bitter lemon- ONLY for the quinine, to stop cramps) & he can do without, it's not good for anyone.

Right - time to go before my glitch addiction creeps over me! Bye

Fernie you are having such an awful time, so sad when a life so young ends in tragic circumstances , I wish your dd a good recovery and hope you can keep busy on the day of her heart op , so the time passes quicker for you, :A
