FC - finally heard from eldest son last night after over 5 weeks of radio silence - you will know the yawning engulfing panic when you don't hear from them and they go off grip.
He's been on expedition, well he did say he would have no wi fi out in the field but even so ..
He does close protection so in the meantime we had convinced ourselves that he was doing some security level one top secret work in some conflict zone somewhere - I know he used a cash machine a few days ago and I know what the currency was but even so we are still not totally convincedLOL
His flight back is on Monday so it will be Tuesday before he is back in the UK but he is keen to go out on tour again - not happy about this but it's what he is trained for.
Mostly when he is away and seperated from the temptation of shops and resturants etc his everyday spends are minimal and his savings improve. Its a bit of a drastic way of saving though.fairclaire wrote: »Morning

Re bodyshop 40% off. The 50ml Smoky Poppy body butter seems to be mispriced at £2. The 200ml one is £14. So if you add 5 to your basket you pay £6 (free postage is on the price after discount.) Good if you are doing Christmas shoe boxes/hampers etc.
I'm doing VIP goody bags for our posh work do in November so good for that. As its a service related thing then anything with a poppy on is even better

Don't forget to join the new loyalty scheme if you haven't already. It's free. Oh and don't forget TCB/Quidc“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Pop still looking promising as most still not on A - personally would avoid Coke varieties as most seem to be there, Sprite and Fanta Fruit Twist and Fanta Apple and Sour Cherry. Otherwise this should still work .. maybe wait until 1pm to be sure?
I suppose the risk is that as they have gone from A so in theory 6?) yesterday day 1) days if they don't re-appear before they fall out of the APG.

Does anyone know if any of the sweet tins are comparing to M's 24£7 please?
I've been asked to get some for relatives to give out at xmas and i figured it might be worth using them as fillers with the pop
Thanks muchlyApparently, everybody knows that the bird is [strike]the word[/strike] a moorhen0 -
She said her son is sobbing uncontrollably, and asking me advice what to say to him!! I'm no good at this, I told her just to be there for him and comfort him, didn't know what else to say. Before you assume, learn the facts,

AMEX card holders > watch out for an email inviting you to install the new "Rewards by Harvey Nichols" app and get an instant upgrade from Silver to Gold status which gives you free coffees/smoothies in their bistros and bars. There are other benefits like free sewing alterations and gift wrapping but I'm not sure I'll use this :-)0

But surely, if it is showing as £5.99 on the apg and picking up a cheaper one.....you pay £7.99 in As and it compares to a cheaper one in Waities at £5.99 therefore (and remember I am 'old') you would get back £2 + 10% per bottle? Or not?
I really don't understand how this works
You are right maz. It looks like a glitch....ie it's comparing against the wrong product at W. So as it stands you would be getting the wine for £5.99 less 60p which is more than I would pay.
I mistakenly thought that it was £5.99 on the receipt but was showing up incorrectly on the APG ie at £7.99 which would make it a more attractive buy.
