  • Hubby has just had a phone call. Hospital ringing to say his knee op, for which he's been waiting for 2+yrs & was scheduled for Oct/Nov will not now take place until March/April time! OMG! They asked if he'd be willing to travel out of Wales for an earlier one possibly December. He said YES obviously - I'm a bit worried about this as we know his surgeon here is supposed to be very good BUT who am I to say what to do? They said they will ring him back in 2-3wks with further news.

That totally puts the kybosh (is that a word?) on any plans for going away. NO idea on when they will inject his back under MRI - think they've forgotten all about that. I'm just sick of it all as obviously is he.

Fernie how awful, nothing you can say or do at a time like this, it's just time that heals.

LS - big surprise on brought forward op, but at least it means that hopefully you'll be fully sorted quicker, once you're over the shock.

I think I must have picked up a slot that someone else cancelled from, thats what the secretary indicated when I asked why so soon. I was told I needed 3-6 months for my insides to heal before they went back in. This is just shy of 3 months but I have to trust my surgeon is doing the right thing.

I hope your husband gets a slot soon even if you do have to travel out of Wales, which is obviously far from ideal.

QOC - hope you get back in your house and the wedding goes ok!

    HG - Happy Anniversary. :)

Fernie - such sad news, so sorry for your DS losing a friend. Good luck for your DD's op next week as well. What a lot you have going on. :o

cjj - glad the job is going well, its lovely to hear you sounding so positive. :T

Sorry if I've missed anyone, really not intentional. God knows what my brain will be like after my next bout of anaesthetic, fried I expect! :o

I have realised I need to try and get the Christmas cake made before I next go into hospital, or we aren't going to have one this year. I make a homemade one every year. So, need to check the baking cupboard and see what dried fruit I have and what I need to buy. Also need to get some cheap brandy from somewhere to soak it all in. I usually soak it for at least a week in about half a bottle!

    Hi bubbs :hello:

Which t's? Was there a lot there? I need a loo roll stash, don't have one which is unheard of in this house. Can't get there today, but may be able to "borrow" DS's car tomorrow when he is at work. Mine still off the road as no mot, could really do with getting that sorted as I feel well enough to make small trips now. Yesterday I took DD to Dr, then dropped her to town. Stopped in FC Asda on way back, just to get some milk and bits. I was exhausted after that! Definitely need to keep on with the online grocery shopping and just to small bits out and about.

    How's your elbow/fingers today?
