I think the trick may be to get the most useful thing for under £5 - something you either need or already use or something that would look good as a gift - there are tote bags for a fiver possibly ...“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -

can I ask those that know about this
http://www.groupon.co.uk/deals/gg-titanium-computers-104
Its a Refurbished Apple MacBook A1181, for my Dd who needs a laptop for general use and essays etc. She's got around £200 to spend, is it any good?
many thanks
I think that's very poor value for money in all honesty. It's an 8 year old laptop.
There are better deals out there:

Ive still got popcorn showing on mine as I clicked it on the day it came out. Was showing as 38% then and then showed as 37% which it still does. Havent scanned the barcode yet as not been shopping. Wondering whether to try it now
I see that they have received a lot of flack on FB to this new approach and they are reviewing it for next week (though they do say some offers are limited, which is fair enough if there is a certain budget/number of vouchers, it is how they implement it effectively which is the issue).
Anyone remember when MyS brought in cashback and within a short while they made a right mess of it, with offers appearing and disappering so that you lost confidence in buying any items for fear the cashback would disappear before you uploaded the receipt? This is looking familiar ....
From what Shopit have posted, if it is no longer available but showing a %, it means people have opted in to the deal but haven't uploaded their receipt yet. If that is the case, it may be worth checking on the day offers are released and opening/claiming the offers you are interested in as that "appears" to keep it available for you?
