Quick bit of advice needed. My Mum is doing ok but now we have a problem with Mother In Law. She has a bad heart and spent a 6 week spell in hospital in May and was then allowed home. She wasnt eating in hospital and only recently started eating again. However last week she had trouble breathing and even though she didnt want to go was admitted to hospital. She has 2 care visits a day at present but needs a visit from the ot regarding things at home to help i.e. a commode and some rails to help her get on and off the loo. My father in law is not very well himself and has been finding it a strain looking after her.
My husband is officially her carer and does there shopping and goes in 6 days a week. My husband and his brother have done power of attorney ( not enacted yet ) and now my brother in law is talking about getting it enacted so they can put her into care. Him and my husband went to look at the care home that is 1/2 mile from her home and they have a vacancy. The hospital is desperate to discharge her but she needs 4 care visits and things put in place at home. Now today my husband called me and apparently his brother and family are talking about putting his mother in a care home near where they live ( 25 miles away )so that my husband would have to drive there to take his dad to visit.
OH is quite upset as he feels his brother is going too fast with all of this when with help she could come home. I know also my mother in law wants to stay at home and has also signed a dnr. My brother and sister in law visit about twice a week and they regularly call the ambulance when all she needs is a day in bed.
I am trying not to get too involved but my husband is struggling with all of this and feels his brother and family are pressuring his Mum and Dad0 -

Instead it was dressed and left for her parents to remove at home.
There must be an overriding reason I know but it makes no sense to me:o
Unfortunately this is true, same as you are not allowed to help remove or put back in earrings after P.E or use plasters if a child cuts themselves:( although some schools do allow the latter.
School would see it as... If some one tried to remove it and say for arguments sake it left a little bit in the skin, it could get infected if not treated by parents/carers... Parents could say school caused more damage ... Some parents could take this further...0 -
Oh rose, another roundabout for you
Might be worth mentioning that she does not want to move to a different town, which would surely be true, she must have friends around that would want to visit? And surely they need to take into account the distance that your father in law would need to travel to visit her? If he is not fit as it is the shorter the journey the better. What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -
I've got a technical question;)
Trouble with outlook emails all day on my laptop, can't send now I've also set it up on my iPad and can send receive.
Yahoo email works fine... Mr monkeys outlook also doesn't like working from home...
From this we have deduced that it could be Sky broadband that isn't strong enough for Microsoft but is for yahoo is this a possibility?
I'm no use at all this technical stuff...
But didn't have a problem until I installed outlook..
Thankyou any help as always greatly appreciated on this technological minefield0 -

Will try to work this properly.
If only I knew someone who did the tic tacs for cineworld ticket only using an anonymous account.
Would you believe it my 2 point pack didn't have a code on at all:eek:
Been to different hospital to have my hands and feet scanned by someone who is not treating my foot problem. Bit of a waste of time really and left me so very tired.
Boots phoned to remind me I had an order to collect. Hope it is still there as was very glitch one.
Meeting N for coffee tomorrow but I think that is all I will manage as throat still a bit sore and very sleepy.
Off to catch up on the days cheese adventures.
