Looking at car hire for Portugal in 2 weeks. A bit of a minefield with so many options for fuel. You either get it full and take it back full ( slightly more money) or pre purchase where they charge you for the fuel when you pick it up and you just use what you want ( doesnt say how much they charge for the fuel ) or 1/2 to 1/2 where it comes 1/2 full and you give it back 1/2 full ( you could easily get conned )

The pre purchase ones are about 132.00. the full to full 156.00 and the 1/2 to 1/2 140.00.

Also does anyone know of a good company to take a policy to cover the excess of £2500.00 as the hire people want 43.76 for the week?

First day back at work for me after being off for 6 weeks. Feeling a bit apprehensive :undecided Sat listening to some choons in an attempt to perk myself up before starting.

Might treat myself to a cheese run later when I'm finished. Got an apg to use up :)

    Have a good day all.

Thanks I'll give it a go. I had one on my arm a few days ago after I got out of the shower. It must have been on the towel and I didn't know until OH pointed it out. I started freaking out. I have phases where I'm scared and sometimes I'm ok with them but I think it was worse because I couldn't see it when he told me  I told him if this ever happens when I'm driving he should never tell me :D

Thanks Bubbs. TBH I'm not that bothered as long as I don't have to pick them up.

One morning we rushed out to do the school run. Had to squeese next to some roses to get in the car. A spider must have got on me then unseen. Started to drive off up the road and then saw this huge spider on my lap :eek: How I didn't crash was a miracle. Screamed, pulled into the side and jumped out of the car with hands flayling around trying to get rid of it. While all other drivers manoevered round me. Kids didn't know what I was doing so they started screaming too. Not one of my finer moments but it was such a shock :o
  • Good morning everyone. Please can i ask if anybody has ever had a receipt that the apg site just never picks up??
Ive been trying since Thursday to put in a receipt with some of the cokes on. (They probably didn't work anyway coz i was late on it) that is still telling me i haven't waited 3 hours!!
I asked instore what i should do and they gave me a phone number (asda house).
I rang that yesterday and they said they would pass it onto apg team and get back 5o me which they did saying there had been a problem with the system but it was being resolved and to try to input it again today. Still nothing!
Still saying its searched high and low and to wait 3 hours!
Ready to just chuck it in the bin!
