The government says the minimum amount to live on is £73.10 a week. So in this case wouldn't they be breaking their own rules (and maybe the law) by forcing a person to live on the 73.10 for a fortnight?0

Think yourself lucky, It took me a whole month to get £58 from them once. They gave me no other help.0

When people are sanctioned they are on less that and younger people are on fifty odd a week. The government says the minimum amount to live on is £73.10 a week. So in this case wouldn't they be breaking their own rules (and maybe the law) by forcing a person to live on the 73.10 for a fortnight?
I think the minimum amount line is a bit of misnomer.Play nice  Just because I am paranoid doesn't mean they are not out to get me.:j0 -

sorry, but I don't believe the government have ever said any such thing.
£73.10 is just the figure they've decided to pay someone over 25 who is looking for work and signing on. If you were aged between 18 and 24 you'd only get £57.90. If you didn't sign on you'd get nothing.0 -
