Expedia 50% off

Just received a mail from Expedia stating 50% off members deal, clicked on the link and the prices are exactly the same as if you do not sign in and just do a normal search. I mailed them and asked why this would be and was told that the prices are set by the service provider and to call their Sales team and thanked me for using them. I am still confused as to how they can offer 50% off and the prices are no different.

Are you certain it was a genuine Expedia email? You could have been redirected to a malicious page using Expedia as a front-end for fraud/spyware distribution.

Maybe get your machine scanned by something up to date and change all your passwords/security etc - on another machine.

And this isn't a Bargain - The Main Travel Forum or Praise Vent and Warnings is the place for this.
