Virgin or BA flight?

I've flown both and probably have a slight preference for Virgin but whenever I've looked recently BA have been very competitively priced whereas Virgin have been hugely more expensive. One leg of a trip that I was planning was something like £3,200 economy with Virgin. Business on the same flight was £2,700. Needless to say that I booked BA. Even when I found standard Virgin prices they were cheaper at BA.
I have always flown economy but upgraded one leg of a BA flight to premium economy from Seoul to London last year for about £90. That made quite a difference but I haven't seen that sort of upgrade price very often.0 -
JFK is closer so cheaper but Newark is fine there's a good rail service as well as a bus service from Newark. Train goes into Penn , bus goes to the Port Authority so right by W 42nd Street. One will probably be closer to your hotel than the other so might be the decider.
So glad you've mentioned that. Myself, wife and daughter are flying to Newark next April,(Wife's 50th) staying just behind Penn Station. on 35th St.:beer:0 -
Must say the food on my BA flight to NYC was disgusting! The food on the Virgin flight was great. Only my experience of course.0

I don't think I've ever had an economy airline meal I'd describe as great .......although I do have a soft spot for AA's pizza

Yet both made (manufactured!) by the same company
If food is a factor OP I'd pick something up at the airport - nice little picnic from Pret or Plane Food does it for me.0
