I'll do that then

You can but it must be within 24 hours and you'll need to do it over the phone.0 -
If it's important to you, BA to NYC have an excellent in-flight entertainment set-up with at least 100 hours of films/tv available so you're bound to find something to keep you amused0

I haven't flown BA for years but having cancelled this year's holiday due to health problems I can confirm that not flying BA is a right pain.Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.0

Careful - that only applies to bookings made over the telephone, and not made directly online. Booking by phone attracts a booking fee, as does subsequent cancellation or moving them.
Avois bookings however are fully flexible and refundable up to 24hrs before your flight if that helps you (but likely won't save cash over a cheap non flex ticket.Legal team on standby0 -
I've flown with BA and Virgin a few times.
BA experience was very poor compared to Virgin.
e.g BA once ran out of drinks 1 hour into an 11 hour flight !
Just my experience - others may agree or disagree.0 -

Are you sure about that? I haven't seen anything in BA's terms that says the booking has to be made over the phone (the cancellation does), and I've never heard anyone be refused a cancellation within 24 hours because they made the booking on BA.com (3rd party sites may be different). Have you had a different experience?

I find this difficult to believe. They may have run out of a particular drink, but certainly not everything.0 -
Probably had a stag or hen group on board so cut everyone off by claiming to have run out rather than having a confrontation with the group by cutting just them off- Happens on Virgin a lot too. (bet it was Orlando or Vegas)I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
MSE Florida wedding .....no problem0 -
Nope, it was San Francisco actually. They claimed that they had run out of all alcohol after 1 hour !0
-
If that was true it would have been because of a catering problem. It is cetainly not normal for flights to run out after 1 hour.0
