    Mu,

Have a hug. Even the nurse who I must say was lovely, said that she was proud of me coming for my first smear. That I was very brave and that its not very dignified. It did feel strange and did not hurt.

Not sure what is going on but I have to use the quick reply. As otherwise I get a blank page and it only seems to be on this thread. So I will be lacking smilies LOL!!!

Well you will all be proud of me as I have been up by 8am. I jump in the shower before lodger and dressed and made up by 8.30am.

Ok here is a question. The reason I ask is that me and husband don't agree. Which side do you use on on tin foil? I have always used dull side up. He says shiny side up.

    Yours

    Calley
    Thank you Calley *hugs back*

Well done on getting up early and getting ready, it can be hard at times (this coming from someone who certainly is not a morning person!)

Mmmm Pyxis those smarties (sorry buttons ;) ) look yummy! I may have bought myself some cookie monsters pjs...for being brave and all that

    Hello squishables,
Welly - this is one of those things that you can do nothing about and so worrying about it happening is not good for you. Remember to wash yer hands lots and cough into tissues etc, but it might just be one of those things...........she will get porrlies as she grows up and that is natural part of life..............does that help in any way? Alternatively - start researching baby flu products now so that you feel all nice and prepared in case it does happen so that you don't panic?

Who say through dinner with in-laws without pinching them? That definitely deserves a sticker!!!!

Moo - have you looked into the insurance and liability implications of starting up on your own? That has always put me off. I vote for MooSquishSafety! Did you have interview today?

MU - well done that girl! So proud of you - hope you are feeling very proud of yourself for managing your icky day.

    Squishes to all who need.

Like fly said all you can really do is just try and be careful with hand washing and things, she might not get it, there were times my parents both went down with bugs but is kids didn't always catch it. Would it help to look up on the nhs website to see if there's any advice epically for little ones? Might put your mind at ease a bit?

In my lonelier days, I did read an article about tinfoil once that said that the difference between shiny side and dull side is negligible.

I use shiny side up as I like shiny things.

    WW,

I did google it and it says the shiny side is due two pieces of foil going through rollers. And its the rollers that make the shiny side LOL!!!!

I was just curious what other people thought LOL!!!

I've never thought about it, but I always use tin foil with the shiny side on the outside. I have no idea why, so I suspect my reason is the same as whitewing's.

    Shiny :D

I've not used tin foil in years (last time i did i set the oven on fire.... :o ) but i always used it shiny side up as i mistakenly believed that somehow it would cook better as it was shiny and more reflective :rotfl:
