Good afternoon all! It definitely seems that the leak is fixed so yay! How can it be 3c outside and we still haven't seem a hint of snow? Blow on the clouds harder please!
I feel better today than I did, yesterday I didn't feel very well. I had a lot of nervous energy, anxiety and weird thoughts but they seem to have cleared up now. This is good because I cannot afford to relapse when my american friend needs me. Her grandmother is comfortable and sleeping all of the time now it is just a question of waiting. My heart goes out to her, in a way the waiting is more painful for her than the inevitable.Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

Did melly go?
Where's ono? Is he staying away until the hugging is over?
tea, what did Mr Hotlips say in the end about his lack of contact? Or don't you care?
My husband has his shed because his equipment is too big for the house and I trip over it.
(Actually he doesn't have a shed, but I am going for cheap laughs, 7DW)

tea, what did Mr Hotlips say in the end about his lack of contact? Or don't you care?
Mad as it sounds (as I know I must appear totally obsessive lol) I don't particularly care. We met once, and have chatted for a few weeks - he owes me nothing (and same the other way round of course). In some ways it could be a nice sign that if he was concentrating on someone else he wasn't constantly in contact with me at the same time. Or he might have been busy. Or he might be a total eejit. Anything is possible at this stage :rotfl:.
I think we're meeting this evening, just trying to sort logistics which isn't the easiest thing with the distance etc. If I'd known there was a date possibility today I'd have worked from home - saved myself an hour's travelling time and had a chance to try on everything I own! Am now willing the afternoon away so I can rush home and get ready - fingers crossed for decent traffic tonight :rotfl:.
ETA: also I haven't the faintest idea what to wear and seem to have forgotten what clothes I own... can't think of anything. Have given up any pretence of getting any work done0 -
Wooohooo! Don't think about it too deeply, tea! Just enjoy yourself you are allowed to have fun!
Lucee says thank you whitewing and ((((whitewing)))) She loves it when she's mentioned. She is all loud and excited now!Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

Oooooooh, how exciting Tea!!!
Have you got time to stop at the shops on the way home? Not very MSE I know but it'd save you having to wrack your brains about what you already have in your wardrobe and you could spend that time browsing online instead.
WaS, are you and Lucee quite alike? From the way you speak about her it sounds like you've both got a very similar, positive outlook on life.0 -
I barely have time to even get home - have absolutely got to get petrol (or really won't be getting home) but that's just more time I don't have. This is going to be the quickest deciding what to wear and getting ready I've ever done
Really agree with what you say about WaS and Lucee - I reckon they'd be an absolute blast at a fort party0 -
Would anyone notice/care if you leave a bit early? Mutter something about a dental appointment, or emergency gynaecologist appointment!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0

Yep - am totally scarpering a few mins early, it's not like I'm doing any work
In hindsight maybe tonight wasn't the best option but I'm not free again for over a week after that and not sure I can wait that long!
ETA: I can still very much see this not happening at all. Any attempt at planning just highlights the distance and how long we both spend at work.0 -
Aargh, plans all made.... nervous now!! On the plus side he's doing the travelling again which definitely helps. Now I just need to remember petrol, not get stuck in usual traffic jam, work out what to wear, do ironing, get ready, get into town and think of a half decent place to go in a v tiny town.
ETA: spoke too soon, he cancelled.0 -
