Even got the correct spelling :p I'm not a touch typist in the traditional sense, but spend so much of my day typing that I only need to check where my fingers are very occasionally. I typed the last sentence without error without looking at the keyboard at any point, for example.

edit - I should point out that I got the :p smiley wrong and had to correct that :o

  • Using a mobile phone "keyboard" is another matter entirely though, I can't even get my real name correct and that only has four letters!

On my keyboard - Birdie41 :p Not even going to try on my phone!

I'm not a touch typist but I'm just used to writing certain words a lot so know kind of where they are IYKWIM. :o My Mum can touch type (went to secretary college in her youth!) and I've always wanted to be as good as her but still not there!

Code - wasn't at all saying that you were like my (rubbish) 'friends', just that both of us are in similar rubbish positions where we're left out by our friendship group. :o

    Wejjyvuura. Not even close!!

We got first smiles!! I cried. It's come just at the right time as I have been really struggling with bonding due to being so throughly exhausted.

Got a job interview next week need to do some research for it.
  • Wabes and smiles , there we go typing with my eyes shut. Not too shabby! I was never taught to type and do so with two fingers on each hand, but years of typing means I can touch type pretty well.

How lovely for first smiles, Welly!

It's WaSp's birthday today! I managed to get him a very cheap second hand digital camera with the Ebay discount included and he is over the moon! He keeps running up and downstairs to take photo's! I am very, very glad that I got it and have promised him a day out at the beach so that he can use it more.

I also sent him to buy himself a birthday cake and beer and he can choose a takeaway later so he is a happy WaSp!

wellyboots6 Eeeek! I did it! This was on the laptop though, the previous one was on the tablet.

I wonder if touchscreen typing is going to have an impact on future typing skills of young people? Admittedly I only use a few fingers, not all of them, but I make a lot less mistakes when typing on the laptop rather than tablet.

Trying to have a lazy day today but itching to get out of the house. Trying to hold off though as I would just end up taking Escapette up to the shop and buying rubbish.
At the doctors this evening though so that can be my trip out.
Its an appointment for me, but noone seems to know what its for, a receptionist rung me to book it. I have found some cyst type lumps on Escapettes head though so wondering if they would have a quick look at her while I am there or would I need to book another appointment?

Had to share this,I am at my son's today looking after his 4 month old puppy, took her to the park for a walk on her extending lead which I am not really used to.We met a man walking his big spaniel type dog so thought I would let her say hello, well they both ran round the man in opposite direction and he ended up trussed up like a parcel:eek: Luckily he was very nice about it,untangled his dog first then passed it to me while he did mine.I was very embarrassed and told him I was not used to the lead
