I would have to be completely incapacitated to take a sickie. I guess my last sickie would have been in my student Years at college, except I was sent home sick instead. ;)

  • Some have a Bradford system.
If I had to spend any time working in Bradford I'd probably want to take a sickie too.

I would also like to know how many sickies do YOU take?
    that would be interesting

2 single days in the past 11 and a half years with my current employer.
I was in hospital (A&E once, admitted once) both times.
  • I get a sickie every 1-2 months, is that okay? Single day only.

I give you between 9 and 12 months with that record
It's taken me years of experience to get this cynical

None in the last eight years. Prior to that I had three weeks off in one go where I was an hospital prior to and following an operation. There are many days when I don't want to get out of bed and go to work but I wouldn't take the day off unless I was genuinely very unwell.

Not wanting to get out of bed is a common feeling but it is not a medical condition!

Why is anybody giving serious replies to this waster? Just stop responding and he might get fed up and go away.
  • I think the public sector can take circa 438.34 days sick per year without alarming anyone.
Around about 0.0034 days in the real world of the private sector.
