Despite your skill in calling house prices you need to remind yourself you sold at generational lows and have rented for the last 18 odd years. You're not qualified to offer financial advice to others.
I sold because I had moved 200 miles away, and got fed up with tenants trashing the house and complaints from neighbours. At that time the present housing comedy wasn`t even within the realms of imagination. It was the best decision for the time, and my rent since has been a negligible cost. Lurking around these boards attacking anything that challenges your mantra qualifies you to give advice to no one, if you want to believe that rents are soaring, and that most people are going to get their "equity" out of the casino be my guest.0 -
Personally I wouldn't call best part of £100k negligble.Crashy_Time wrote: »I sold because I had moved 200 miles away, and got fed up with tenants trashing the house and complaints from neighbours. I wouldn't call £100k negligble full stop.Crashy_Time wrote: »Would you call a 100k spend over the years on say fags, booze, food we don`t really need, holidays etc. negligible or non-negligible?0 -

No £400 a month is not negligble I'm certainly glad I don't have to pay £400 a month for accomadation let alone a room in a shared house.Crashy_Time wrote: »It is spread over many years. My rent this year will be £4800, trust me it is negligible.0 -
