EE Internet On Mobile Phone
Options
Hi all,
I've had a quick look through the last couple of pages and could not find a thread with this, so I have started this one.
Is anyone with EE for their mobile phones and is their 4G internet slower than what dial up used to be on computers? It used to be fine until about 2 weeks ago, and now it takes about 5 minutes for each page to load up. It's the same with apps.
I've only been on my contract for about 3 months and I got a fancy new phone and expensive contract hoping it would be super fast internet access and all that, but it's not.
I am paying them big money each month, so surely the 4G internet access is something that they should provide right? Or have I just lost the plot already?
I still have all my data allowance, it's not like I have gone over and I don't have any dodgy apps that take up internet access and data and storage.
Thanks to anyone who might be able to help.

I'm on EE & the internet speed is fine.0

I suspect it comes down to how many users there are locally i.e. If you live in a City then the chances are that more users using the network will result in a slower connection.
4G is generally faster than 3G although it depends where you are and how close you are to the mast.
I have a EE Phone contract and EE Osprey (portable wifi) contract and both are exactly the same for speed.
Best to check the EE Coverage page (google ee coverage) to make sure you are not in one of the rare blackspots.0 -
Thanks guys. I didn't know about the checker and I have just checked it and it says it should be superfast which it clearly is not. Maybe my phone is forked.
I might have to nip into the EE shop in town and ask them. I don't like the pace of the pages loading. It brings back memories of dial on on my old knackered computer. LOL.0
