Thanks mookie. Just tried again though and it's saying not recognised when I put the Grazia code in. So coming up still at £190. Grrr!!
Oh well. I need them for a Christmas present for my daughter so it can wait. Just seemed a bit strange to give your card details when you don't know the amount being paid. And why do they insist (as you can't proceed without entering it) on your date of birth and gender?
Seems a bit like an identity fraudster's dream.0 -
can anyone tell me approx what customs ill be charged if i order £368 worth off uggs from amaerica?0

I paid about £30 on £100 Short classics last year:( So at a guesstimate you would be looking at over £100's.The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0

Hi I have been following this thread for quite some time but have never had anything to truely give but I do know that ASOS sell kids sizes in quite a few styles. The only way I know to find them is to search for uggs. I have quite often got excited about prices Only to find that the shoes don't fit my feet.
Hope this helps0 -

Mmmmmmmm, chocolate! I was toying with getting that colour myself!:D
It's such a lovely colour. I've got a jumper the same colour which should go well!
I just want some short ones now0 -
Following on from my thread about comfie wellies/walking boots.
This morning I was up and walking the dog at 6.30 as my new Uggs are due to arrive today (better than waiting for a baby IMO, LOL) and I had to get her for a walk before hubby left for work. At 8am the door went and I rushed down all excited but it was a different delivery.
Anyway, yesterday I ordered some Young Hunter Wellies and boot socks from www.garden4less.co.uk and I placed the order at 1pm - they arrived this morning at 8am!! They are about 20% cheaper than everywhere else so £21.50 for the boots, £8 for the boot socks, I got free delivery if spending over £25 too. Now hubby wants some boot socks, the kids want some boots and boot socks too.
And I bought silver wellies and a bright pink welly sock too!! You can see me coming a mile off, ha ha!! The socks are great, they are fleece and turn over the top of the welly and have the hunter label showing. I've not seen those before. I am in kids sizes and the size 2's are great and fit lovely - not too much flopping around. People will see me coming a mile off. Annoyed I have walked the dog already as I cannot really sit around the house in my new pair of wellies and I REALLY want to wear them. I am determined that I will not be trashing these new boots.
But I am still waiting for my new Birch boots from Cloggs. HURRY UP!! They had better suit me after all this waiting else I'll be getting a new pair of chocolate classics again. Sooooooo predictable, that will be my 3rd pair then.0 -

Don't forget there is an initial charge of £10-15 for the 'admin' from the carrier, the rest if duty & VAT. I'd say around 20% in the customs fees and then £15 on admin depending on who they use to carry them. Don't forget to pay by Credit Card if spending that much.
I think for one pair of boots, especially kids boots, right now it is not worth importing from the US unless it is something you really like and cannot get here, but for adults boots or for more than one pair it is worth it. On £368 (4 pairs of boots?) it would be around £90 in duty and if that is the case you've got an absolute bargain for 4 pairs for £450.
Oh, don't forget you will also get charged duty and VAT on the shipping price so if shipping is £70 then you will pay the taxes on that too (around £15).0 -
