I think for one pair of boots, especially kids boots, right now it is not worth importing from the US unless it is something you really like and cannot get here, but for adults boots or for more than one pair it is worth it. On £368 (4 pairs of boots?) it would be around £90 in duty and if that is the case you've got an absolute bargain for 4 pairs for £450.
Oh, don't forget you will also get charged duty and VAT on the shipping price so if shipping is £70 then you will pay the taxes on that too (around £15).
Thanks for that well its $612 in total for four pairs but shipping is free so does that mean im really looking at about 90 on top? would i be better to do seperate orders as in 2 x 2 and hope i dont get customs on one maybe? xxxx0 -

According to dutycalculator.com you will pay approx £127 in VAT and duty. There will be a charge from the carrier as well; this depends on which it is, but £15 or so is usual.0 -

This morning I was up and walking the dog at 6.30 as my new Uggs are due to arrive today (better than waiting for a baby IMO, LOL) and I had to get her for a walk before hubby left for work. At 8am the door went and I rushed down all excited but it was a different delivery.
Anyway, yesterday I ordered some Young Hunter Wellies and boot socks from www.garden4less.co.uk and I placed the order at 1pm - they arrived this morning at 8am!! They are about 20% cheaper than everywhere else so £21.50 for the boots, £8 for the boot socks, I got free delivery if spending over £25 too. Now hubby wants some boot socks, the kids want some boots and boot socks too.
And I bought silver wellies and a bright pink welly sock too!! You can see me coming a mile off, ha ha!! The socks are great, they are fleece and turn over the top of the welly and have the hunter label showing. I've not seen those before
I want some...but sold out in every colour in my size0 -

Are you sure shipping is free as it is unusual and usually only includes orders within the US - sometimes within the shipping pages it'll state that. Do you have a link so someone can check itout for you?
If you get 2 orders then you'll have 2 x fees from the courier. It would be very unusual that you not be charged in all honesty, there was a time last year but they have wised up to this now. Especially if they see 2 parcels coming through together.0 -

I just want some short ones now
Can't decide between them or the purple...or the chesnut...or the black...
Short are cheaper but my legs get sooooo cold in the winter....I can't make up my mind!!!!:eek:0 -
That shopbop place is free shipping isn't it?
I have a quick query, bought uggs from shoe-store.net, was emailed to say they were in UK customs, and now emailed to say they attempted delivery at 8.33 this morning (gutted! Went out at 8.30!)
Had a look on USPS website, am I right in that they will attempt delivery tomorrow? I am out all day. They left no card, nothing. Would rather collect from post office but doesn't appear to be an option. Also, if there are customs charges, how does that work? And who is it delivering them?
Thanks!0 -

I am in kids sizes and the size 2's are great and fit lovely - not too much flopping around. People will see me coming a mile off. Annoyed I have walked the dog already as I cannot really sit around the house in my new pair of wellies and I REALLY want to wear them. I am determined that I will not be trashing these new boots.
.
Oh no!!!! Don't get me started on looking for Hunter wellies again!!! That was my summer project!(never did find any I wanted for a decent price!)
Must concentrate on uggs now!:D0 -
My friend recently bought a pair of UGGs from uggboots-uk.biz. They look like the real thing but I'm no expert. The price for classic short boots is £53.76 which seems too good a price to me. Does anyone know if they are genuine?0

Tracking often messes up with international and customs. The tracking probably means it actually left customs and went to your local delivery office of your courier, and they will actually try first delivery tomorrow. If you didnt get a card then they probably didnt try this morning and what you see in the tracking is its movement from customs to local depot.
I get a lot of shipments from the US, and almost always I get a failed delivery on the tracking which actually means it left customers as above. You will probably either get a delivery attempt tomorrow, or a letter telling you to pay customs fees in order to release for delivery attempt, depending on if you got lucky at customs or notThe Head Honcho (does very little work)0
