  • I took my Uggs back to schuh today as within an hour of wearing them - indoors - a bit of the sole under the ugg label at the back had a chip in and the rubber was hanging out, i pulled at it slightly as didn't know what it was and it took a chunk out, on further inspection I noticed that the finish of the sole was awful, there were loads of bits of rubber hanging off and with a slight pull would take larger chunks off, as soon as I noticed this I boxed them up and took them back, the managers at Schuh inspected them and said I'd caught it in something sharp - which I honestly had not done - I pointed out the bad finish on the rest of the sole but was told as I'd already 'pierced' it elsewhere they wouldn't do anything about it. I'm not happy as my friend has bought some online for £50 which are identical to mine and has had no trouble with hers. I only bought them from schuh and paid the extra £100 as believed I was getting better quality and service. This is the first time I've ever returned anything due to bad quality, I'm so not happy!

Cloggs have a 3 for 2 code at the moment which works on Uggs, just bought my 3 daughters a pair of cardy's each for £160.

do you have the code...if it was available i think they would all be sold out by now..10% discount maybe but 3 for 2 i can't imagine that:confused:

I've been keeping an eye on this topic for quite a while now, I reaaaaally want a pair of the bailey buttons.

There's been quite a few people though slating the quality of them.

Are they really worth the money or would I be better going for a cheaper alternative?

They just seem so perfect for winter time when I'm stood at the football unable to feel my toes.

If you are not sure, consider an alternate brand of proper sheepskin ugg boots, they are not fake uggs just an alternative label (ugg is any sheepskin boot in this style). Since production of Ugg australia switched to china and has become more and more popular people have started to notice the quality is lower than it was a couple of years ago.

I have owned several pairs off UA boots but I too have noticed the quality is not as high as it was before, if warmth is what you want and you like the style its worth considering other options. I read complaints last year about peoples toes popping through the front of fairly new uggs, they were also told it was their own fault. This year it seems the soles are maybe a bit dodgy....they have only just changed the sole design so it could well turn out to be a fault with the new design.

    Hope this helps.

If you subscribe to the Cloggs newsletter they will send you out codes every so often, which do include 3 for 2.

I have worn UA for so long and am really fussy so will compare the two brands with my beady eyes and will report back my opinion, I think I'll be a good person to review them ;) I just hope they fit as I went for my usual shoe size given the info on the website and also an email reply from them saying to go up rather than down. If you want when I get them I can PM you actual pics of the boots. They wont be here for about 2 weeks though.

That would be great mookie, thank you :A

  • Bailey buttons - hmm, I love the look of them, BUT.... The bit that goes around your leg (the shaft) is too floppy. I know it is meant to be floppy, but you can just tell that the option to have it sort of half up and half folded down, which looks so nice in my opinion, is going to rapidly change into flopped completely down only. They are not thick enough to stay up, so you will end up with an ankle pixie boot.

I have three paires of UGGs, short chestnut, short gold and my newest purchase, chocolate bailey buttons.

I have to say the bailey buttons are by far my fave. They are even comfier and warmer than my normal chestnuts/metallics and as a previous poster suggested they do not flop down at all. They are a lovely fit and I have lived in mine for the past week (despite the warmer weather we have had!). I am so glad I bought them and would recommend to anyone.

Hi, thanks for the info, are the LFA's true to size, or larger like uggs, please?

I'm an 8, but went for a 7, so they are snug (because they will give). So i think they are like uggs on sizing
