  • Does anyone have Uggs with chunks out of the sole after a couple of wears? I dont know if I've got reason to take them back - they were so expensive or is it something that always happens to Uggs?

Me too, I have always managed to seek bargains, except for my very first pair I think they were from sole trader and i paid full price but that was before I had the internet :rotfl: Problem is the $ rate and a lot of companies no longer ship to UK has really made it hard to get bargains like they were.

I read reviews on the whoogas and one said they fit very much like the UA. Some other brands are cut different the Just sheepskin boots are rather wide looking and I have had LFA boots and found them to get a bit hot inside.

If they are not as nice then i can return them but I really want to try them and see. I like the look of them. I still have a brand new pair of tall chestnut UA's to wear this year that i forgot i had last year :o My DH has said he'll pay for UA's as its the only things I own that I wear out lol but I just feel if i can find another brand its money I can use against other things. Although saying that if the whoogas let me down I'll be taking him up on it quick before they sell out everywhere!

Read your post about Whoogas and had a look - they look great - let me know what they are like!!:T

jubilee, Uggs or not I would be sending/taking them back - clearly not fit for purpose. If it was the kids school shoes you would be taking them back surely?

Well I'm worried they'd say that I'd caught them on something sharp - but I hadn't as was the first time I'd worn them and had been on a coach all day so hadn't walked about too much. To be honest think it might be partly my fault as a bit was hanging out so i pulled it slightly and took a chunk out

Please let me know how you get on with them. I really like the black ones, i love the two tone effect on the heel of them and could be tempted at that price if the fit was definitely the same as the UA boots.

And what a lovely OH you have, offering to buy you uggs:A Jealous, moi?:rotfl:

I'd definitely return them, no way should that have happened and it is definitely not a problem common to uggs. You are well within your rights to return them, and its a lot of money to write off:eek:

If I can pluck up the courage I'll take them back, dont want to look stupid in the shop though!
  • You wont look stupid Jubilee1, although I do know how you feel and I don't often return things myself but I would definitely return ugg boots as they are so expensive - you are paying for quality and thats what you should get.

As a major ugg boots fan I'm quite disappointed to read so many reports of poor quality genuine uggs - I really hope UA are aware of the issues and doing something about it.

I will report back on this thread, and I will PM you, the order says they have up to a 6 day delay due to back orders so they should be here in 2 weeks.

I have worn UA for so long and am really fussy so will compare the two brands with my beady eyes and will report back my opinion, I think I'll be a good person to review them ;) I just hope they fit as I went for my usual shoe size given the info on the website and also an email reply from them saying to go up rather than down. If you want when I get them I can PM you actual pics of the boots. They wont be here for about 2 weeks though.
