Yes, as stated earlier in the thread I got them from Bloomin direct, after someone said they had recieved genuine 'ugg australia' ones, I thought it a bargain so got some. I've got real ones already so I could tell the difference immediately, I didn't need to go examining labels.
Of course I have now learnt that old chestnut, if it sounds too good to be true, then it probably is!
Yeah, I just backtracked your posts and discovered this. In this case you need to contact Trading Standards ... http://www.stockport.gov.uk/content/business/tradingstandards/
You might like to know their proper address too rather than the PO address in Manchester listed on their site
BLOOMIN DIRECT LIMITED

Company No. 06231155
Seems their accounts are overdue too!

i thought we had established genuine uggs are made in china ?? lol , but i have to say so are the fakes ! i bought some good fakes off ebay which were shipped straight from china . i have compared them to my daughters uggs i got her off shudoo and the fur is slightly different , the soles dont bend like hers do and the front of the boot is straight down where as hers is shaped so the toes have room to fit in where as the others just slope straight down , the boot is also heavier than the real uggs , looks like i am stuck with these fakes now but i dont mind for myself , i just hope for £75 they last til nxt winter !!! i bought some sheepskin boots from river island last jan for £30 and theyre still going strong !!0

I really don't understand this mentality of people wanting to support slave labour and the sweatshop trade in China to buy a particular brand of boot just because a well-known "celeb" was seen wearing them!
It is these boots that are "not good enough" as you put it, and are mostly inferior to other brands. They are the ones trying to imitate genuine Ugg boots and even go as far to call themselves UGG "Australia" (made in China remember!) to try and fool people into thinking they're the original article
Can you help me out with this one please as now I am really confused!!
I thought the genuine Australian Uggs had the genuine Ugg label? the reason I posted the ones I did as fake was becasue these were a pair a mate of mine ordered. They didn't last the year before they flopped right over, keeping in on the heel so they were all lopsided and also when she ordered them, fluff was comming out of the shoe, this itself is fine, except it never did stop. All over her tights/socks/leggings all the time. She had only worn them about 6 months before the did this:eek: .
So if these are not fakes, and are genuine, why is the label so different to the real Ugg label? and why did my friend have such a bad experience with them?
Any body know? I understand an Ugg is a style of shoe and not a brand of shoe but the Australian Uggs are the ones made by Decker or have a tie somewhere along the line! (not an expert on the technical facts I'm afriad!) are imitated and I/We/You have to be careful when buying new Uggs as a result.
Am not sure: what do I call an Ugg style boot that does not live up to the Ugg Anstralia (deckers) standard? if its not a fake (close immitation, including nameing your boots "Ugg Australia" = fake in my mind) then what is it? and more importantly, how do you keep yourself away from ordering a pair? (other then like myself, being very fortunate and living in London, being close to many stores that sell them and seeing them first.)0 -
The ugg australia brand is the brand worn by the celebs. There are A LOT of companies out there who make fake 'ugg australia' boots and a lot of them are not even sheepskin.
There are several good brands of 'ugg boots' available out there.......proper sheepskin and good quality.
This whole hoo har seems to be about people wanting 'ugg australia' boots and recieving cheap copies.
Just wanted to add there are good sheepskin boots available that are made in this country as well as Australia or China. They all have similar styling, so really it's just a case of wanting a certain 'label' nothing wrong with that to my mind, been going on forever!0 -
You have an almost identical wish as me! I need (ok, I would like) a pair of size 5 Aust. Uggs but at a reduced price- I have been waiting to see if they were reduced- it seems not so far.
Not sure if its any help but if I do see any, I will be posting on here!
Thanks and I'll do the same too, especially as you need the same size as me. :T
Now can we please have details of the latest deals? I think most of us have read enough about imitation uggs and how to spot them. Thank you though to the posters that have added that information for us.0 -

Your friend bought a pair of genuine sheepskin Ugg boots, the difference being that they were maybe not of the same quality as the brand you wear. I have a pair of Love from Australia Nomad boots, they cost a lot more than my Ugg Australia boots, they are genuine but I personally dont feel they are as good quality and I wouldnt buy them again. Its like anything I guess, different brands, different quality, some people prefer the fit, style, design of alternate brands.0 -

What do you want 'Ugg australia' or australian uggs? The title of your post suggests you have not read enough information yet.0 -

Can anyone confirm whether the website https://www.globalugg.co.uk is a good/ reputable/honest company?
I have no reason to believe otherwise but they are quoting prices around £70 for uGgs so thought i'd see if anyone had either bought from them or knew of anyone who has used them?
Thanks!0
