I have since discovered that they ARE fake after being contacted by another eBay member to warn me  . The seller (House-of-Designs) hasn't been selling anything else in the last week so I think eBay has intervened, though she seemed to have a good run with over 7000 feedback. There is a good guide on how to spot fakes here http://reviews.ebay.co.uk/Fake-UGG-boots-don-apos-t-get-caught-out-like-me_W0QQugidZ10000000004585486 but I suppose if you have the boots in hand to check this out, you have already handed the money over like me. I have reported it to eBay anyway & I think I will stick to the High Street from now on!

Have you filed with paypal yet? If not do it straight away, you should get your money back for fakes.

    So sorry hun :(
  • One thing that untruiges me is why people are trying to get "Authentic" UGG boots, which is an American Company (who trademarked the name and threatened the aussie companies), made in china using inferior sheepskin, when you can get genuine austrailain made boots directly from the manufacturer in austrailia. I havent read all 97 pages but went trhough this a few years ago when my wife wanted a pair for xmas, I ended up getting them from a place that was attached to the sheepskin factory.

That review was written by a girl who got ripped off by the seller you have bought from, she recently helped me confirm my boots (they were genuine luckily, confirmed by UGG australia too, they had china labelling think i got too paranoid)

I think they must of been selling genuine boots to get the feedback up.

My mum got a problem with an ebayer selling uggs last year, they were genuine but he hadnt been sending them and got suspended, she filed it with paypal and got her money back. File a claim asap, i know this member has been reported and ebay havent stopped them so its only right you get your money back!

I posted that fedex had lost my friends UGGs, I gave her my ones as i'd got 2 colours so thought i'd wait for these ones to turn up.....they didnt and fedex paid the loss to cover a new pair to be sent....eventually.

Cozyboots answered EVERY email quickly and politely, my husband is really happy with them. They resent the boots and refunded the shipping cost so i have only paid for the boots. I think this is customer service as it should be
    :T :T :T :T :T :T :T :T :T :T :T :T :T :T :T :T :T :T :T :T

I checked the tracking this morning and the boots are out for delivery to me today, they were only sent 2 days ago. :j

I got customs on the other 2 pairs, but they were low compared to other people who have got them, £40 for both pairs) so i am expecting a charge on these. But with a service like this from people who care about their customers I will be using them if i need anymore boots from now on! :D

Hi folks - we've been in touch with the Deckers press office about the Aussie Direct situation and are sending them a pair of the allegedly fake Uggs, to get a definite answer.

I now need a volunteer to lend me a pair of the dodgy Aussie Direct Uggs so I can forward them on. We will pay for postage, and if they do turn out to be fake we will reimburse you for the full cost of the Uggs. Please PM me if you wouldn't mind doing this. Thanks

Hi - we are still urgently looking for a kind person to help out with this. If you've got a pair from Aussie Direct that you suspect are fake and wouldn't mind getting them checked, please let me know (even if you've worn them).

Can thoroughly recommend this company for good quality sheepskin, keen prices and excellent, courteous service, (delivery takes approx 1 week)

  • Can you let me know whether you're asked to pay customs and tax on these please?

I've got my eye on a pair of boots I want (saving £150 on UK prices) but finances are tight this month and I might struggle to pay any customs on top :(

I've completely blown my budget for shoe/boot shopping for this and next year! :shhh: :silenced: ;)

REALLY happy with the overall service from Boot Barn. Ordered Tuesday afternoon, they flew from US to UK Weds, and UPS have tried to deliver to me today (but I was out!!!!!!!) 72 hours!

CHAMELEON & MAMAMOO - Customs charge was £25.44 (have paid over the phone with UPS) So got my lovely choccy Tall Boots for £105 all in - so at least a £65 saving on the high street. I'm a happy Bunny!! :T

Yes, I agree with the above having also bought from them, as well as the Canterbury range of boots from Hartings.

That's not an unreasonable amount of customs to pay compared to what some people have been charged (obviously UPS don't charge an extra fee like Royal Mail) so I think I'll take the chance and order my very last pair of boots for a long time!! ;) :rotfl:

I'm after the upsides so even taking into account customs charges I'm still saving well over £100 on UK high street prices :T :j :D
