• I had ordered a couple of pairs of short chesnut size 4's from AD prior to reading this thread and became rather concerned as most of you have. My mate works in Office Leeds, and can easily identify a genuine UGG Boot. Mine arrived from AD today and are identical to what she sells. They are 100% genuine, no doubt about it. They are definitely the real deal even if manufactured in Australia. Defo worth the saving of 60 pounds. Go for it if you have been pondering.

    Hi all,

I ordered Sand Uggs from AD and had tried to cancel them after reading this thread thoroughly but they said they had already been sent. Advised them I was worried about the genuinity due to comments on here - James said not to worry! But I fretted until they arrived yesterday - i have checked them against my friends uGgs which she bought in Brown Thomas here for 290euro and they are the real deal!!! :rotfl:

Have taken pics but cannot put them up for some reason...

The were sent on Friday and here Monday but courier could not find my house so only got them yesterday.

I ordered the US7 and im a UK5 and the fit perfect...

I also received my Ugg boots in sand from Aussie direct today and i am very pleased with them.

Just had an email from Deckers regarding the differences between the kids and adults boots:

"the differences between women’s and kids the women’s boots will be roughly 2 inches tall than the children’s, also the kids boots are slightly wider than the women’s as they are designed on a boy’s width which is a C. I hope this helps!"

I hope the 2 inches shorter thing isn't right. Mookie can you compare the adults short and kids ones? Or possibly measure the height of the kids chestnut ones?

I think they must be referring to the tall ones because I just compared them the size 4 kids are EXACTLY the same height as my size 4 womens, i'd post a pic for you but its late and i'm off to bed in a bit.

The width is slightly wider looking down from above the boot but the soles are the same, does that make sense? (there must be slightly more sheepskin allowed in the width on the kids).

I'm really, really fussy and notice things most people dont worry about and I can honestly say that there is not a big enough difference between a kids and a womens to justify paying the extra if you can fit in the kids sizes.

Yeah its on there somewhere at the beginning of the order process. But...

I've checked my paperwork thats on the box. The value on the postage says $39 but nothing on there says gift  they havent ticked gift in the actual notes which were in a clear pocket but they havent been looked at as its all still perfectly intact. So i'm guessing they ignore the request anyway. Its a possibility that you could get customs but I personally think its worth the risk. AD claim they pay the charges, they are fibbing because they put low value on the invoice and mark it as gift, they dont even sign the declaration that states the information declared is true so if they were checked and found to be of higher value the customs charge would still go back to the buyer.

Its a risk you take wherever you get them but still saves on UK prices. :D

you still pay customs/vat even if its a gift over £18, but as I said before, there is no vat on kids footwear size up to uk 5.5 / us7.

Thanks, they havent got kids on the notes though

I reckon customs have had so many boots go through from us lot they've probably got fed up of checking them. :rotfl:

I have asked them to make sure it says kids on the parcel, but we'll see if they do.

With reference to the Great Ugg Debate, I purchased two pairs of Ugg Boots from Snug Australia believing they were the 'genuine Ugg'. However, my 13 year old daughter has advised me they are 'FAKE'.... so she now refuses to wear hers. However, the boots are not fake, they are genuine sheepskin boots made by Snug Australia The quality is great and they are sooooo comfy, has anyone else had boots from Snug ??
