I am VERY disappointed with taylor shoes. I was promised a full refund after their system allowed me to purchase and be charged for tall chocolate ugg boots when they were out of stock. I was told this was due to a software glitch.

I have just checked my credit card statement online to see the following:

    21 Oct 2007 TAYLOR SHOES £90.71 DR 180.99 USD @ 1.995259619

    23 Oct 2007 TAYLOR SHOES £86.75 CR 180.99 USD @ 2.086340058

That means I am £4 out of pocket due to their software glitch that allowed me to be charged for boots that they did not have!

I realise that they cannot help the exchange rate but they should not have taken payment for boots that they did not have in stock and it is due to this that I have ended up out of pocket.

Add to this that I've had to pay an extra $20/£10 from AD for the same boots. All very disappointing and I wish I'd never bothered now.

    Thats terrible service!

Mookie, now i've seen these I have to have some :D:D:D
Did you say that you can choose a gift option. I have some Ugg chocolates on back order from REI but didn't see the gift option. I'm definatly ordering some chestnuts aswell.
    I'm a bad person :D

Yeah its on there somewhere at the beginning of the order process. But...

I've checked my paperwork thats on the box. The value on the postage says $39 but nothing on there says gift  they havent ticked gift in the actual notes which were in a clear pocket but they havent been looked at as its all still perfectly intact. So i'm guessing they ignore the request anyway. Its a possibility that you could get customs but I personally think its worth the risk. AD claim they pay the charges, they are fibbing because they put low value on the invoice and mark it as gift, they dont even sign the declaration that states the information declared is true so if they were checked and found to be of higher value the customs charge would still go back to the buyer.

Its a risk you take wherever you get them but still saves on UK prices. :D
  • Hi

I ordered some short chocolate brown UGGS from Aussie Direct 2 weeks ago. I sent an email to ask when I would get them 2 days later and was told they were really busy and I would be sent a tracking number and they would be going out later in the week (last week).
I have since sent 2 emails asking that they are the genuine deal and asking for a tracking number - I have heard nothing at all. No money has been taken out of my account either.
Any ideas what to do? If they cannot deliver, I would rather know and get some boots elsewhere but they have my bank details so not sure what to do???
PS - this is the first time using a forum so if I have done anything wrong, sorry.

they are the real, I have some on my feet as I type :D

what delivery option did you ask for, I went for airmail and it can take 9-11 WORKING days, you could try emailing them again but just asking for the tracking number :)
  • Thanks for the quick response. I picked airmail delivery - 3-5 days so lord knows what is going on. I have already emailed twice with no reply at all - will send another email and hope for the best
  • Ordered a pair of Chocolate uggs from REI today (thanks Mookie they cost less than AD anyway), and even if they charge me customs it will probably mean they cost about the same, they look totally genuine, REI looks a bit like America's version of Milletts!

If anyone has a pic of chocolate boots they got from REI I would love to see it, like everyone else I always want whatever I have ordered immediately and am terribly impatient!

I also ordered some tall blacks from aussiedirect 10 days ago and just recieved the tracking no. 2 days ago, for delivery tomorrow.
They will be my first ever pair of huggs so will be examining them carefully and hope they are genuine. Bought the water repelent spray from wilco.s yesterday a bargain at £1.50.
  • Thanks Mookie, sorry I thought there would be a difference between the kid's ones and the womens ones (I don't know why!).

what is going on with aussie direct  I bought some UGG's from them a few weeks ago ( delivered within a week on their airmail option - no problems ) I then placed another order with them last week and have still not had a tracking number nor a reply to the 2 e mails that I have sent them. I have just checked their website and noticed that the size that I ordered is now not showing so am wondering if they have gone out of stock and they are just messing me around till they get them back in stock ( also noticed that the shipping options have been changed too so airmail is no longer an option ). I shall be really cross if they mess me around with this order as they are supposed to be a surprise birthday pressie for my DD. I have also recommended them to 2 of my friends
