James you are so far off the mark there with your comment about "maybe the office ones are not right??" you have made yourself & AD look silly.
Office is one of THE BEST shoe shops in the UK.
Now if Happys are made in china, with the material tag and hers/his friends are made in china with a materials tag, I woul dbe interested to see how there can be a height differance.0 -
hi, i've just looked at the canterbury boots on hartings website and they look o.k, i bought the aussie direct chestnut uggs but am not happy with them so am now looking for a replacement. I really like uggs but not so keen on prices, so have decided that if i can get a cheaper pair with the same quality and comfort i'm happy, it's a bonus if they have some sort of label on the back so at least i don't look like i'm wearing cheapy ones when i've paid good money for them, i don't usually spend alot on anything (like a good bargain) but thought i'd treat myself to abit of comfort and luxury for once for the cold morning school runs. Do the canterbury boots fit the same as the ugg ones, i need a size 6 (U.K) in uggs and they fit quite snug but comfortable, wouldn't want to have to return for exchange, and are they as fluffy and comfy as uggs? i've also been looking at Justsheepskin.com, and tried them on in Binns, they are exactly like uggs,£95 for tall ones and much easier returns if there's a problem, just a quick trip to town, but the canterburys are only £65 but not sure whether to take a chance them or not, anyone got any feedback on them? think i'll stop rambling now and boring you all, go and make a hot chocolate:D
Hi I have the Canterbury boots, Mine are a UK/NZ 5 or US mens 6. I usually have a 5 or 6 so I think they come pretty big. The were very snug at first but loosened up after a few wears to fit properly. Mine are the supertread boots, I cant see the point wasting money on the flat bottoms, its better to get a proper boot. I've only tried UGGs in shops but from what I've seen they're nowhere near as good quality as these, they sheepskin is so soft, the inside is really thick and the stitching is perfect. As for comfort, they're amazing, the insole in the supertread is very thick and has proper foot support and there's other layers between the insole and the sole. The sole has really good grip, I've worn them in deep snow and ice and been fine. Can't say anything about the flat slab bottoms as Aussies and New Zealanders all seem to say they're glorified slippers and I can't see the point spending that amount of money on a winter boot that you can't really wear in winter conditions. But I'm sure if you get the supertreads you wont be disappointed. Hope that helps.0 -

Thanx Kimevans, I think James has the wrong attitude to say the least. There are far too many uncertainties from buyers!!! To be perfectly honest, had I seen all of these threads prior to ordering, I would DEF have left well alone!!!:rolleyes:0 -
I'm really excited to get my black uggs on tuesday from AD...im really praying they are living up to how i expect them to look...exactly like my chocolates bought from the highstreet!!! how they shud expect to look being the same make n all!
Are the differences on the classic tall black uggs that noticeable?0 -
Thanks to everyone who mentioned the Canterbury boots. I just looked at them and they look good for the money, so I ordered a pair of short chestnut boots for £55 with free shipping.
I too wish I'd never bought from AD but I put it down to experience. If it looks too good to be true, it probably is! :think:0 -

Still trying to install the camera on this machine, but from the base of the sole to the top of the boot is 13 1/2 inches.

I have just measured my chocs from the highstreet and they measure 13 1/2 inches also (floor to top of boot)...are yours from AD? are they the classic tall blacks? if so that sounds promising :j
I'll post pics of both of mine on tuesday!0
