Where do we start with this post?
Everyone can get to see their GP if they put their mind to it.
The GP is the person who is most qualified to make decisions about your health (yes, sometimes they do get it wrong) and whether or not you are fit to go to work, and in myexperience they can be quite sympathetic.
If however a GP keeps writing "sickies" for someone who is not really ill, then the GP could be in deep water.
What is the alternative, a system where we all write out "sickies" for ourselves when we want a bit of time off?:rotfl:0 -

I am not 'suggesting' anything (I do not recall writing what you are saying!), however there are a lot of non-qualified people on this thread that seem to think they know the OP better than she knows herself.0 -
Being sick and being unfit for work is not always the same thing though? You need to be seen by a GP to get a sick note - you might think you are not good and can't cope but at the end you need to confirm this with a GP.ally.0
